I was excited to stay in icon in canal house hotel. This hotel has a great location, very close to many landmarks, to the central station, boat canal cruises, and there are so many options for eating out on all kind of budgets. It was definitely an experience to stay in this kind of hotel with “traditional brown bar/registration desk”.

The hotel is a short walk to the train station and ferry terminals, surrounded by many restaurants and pubs in the old town. The room is basic, small but functional for short stays. The best thing is the friendly, helpful, cheerful staff and the buffet breakfast at EUR 15.50 was an excellent value.
