Stayed here for a few days and it’s a solid, no-nonsense choice if you want a comfortable base to explore the island. It's a traditional, family-run spot rather than a flashy luxury resort, but it nails the basics. The location is a major plus—just a short, easy walk into the center of St. Helier, right next to Howard Davis Park, and close to the coast at Havre des Pas. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful from the moment we checked in.

Staff very friendly, rooms were a little dated and no air con. Was a fan in the room which we used as room was really warm. TV was tiny but didnt use anyway, only used the room to sleep in. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate. However, the hotel was a bit dated and would benefit from a bit of a refurb. The pool area was a good size with plenty sunbeds but a bit unkempt with weeds around the paving however it didnt stop us spending most of the day there once or twice. We enjoyed our stay and was good

Not great customer service, the evening receptionist said an early bowl of cereal would be fine, but the morning receptionist made it very clear that getting some milk from the kitchen was a troublesome chore for him. Hotel was very dated, and room was hot with no aircon.

overall a good hotel

Close to town, friendly staff, clean and comfy room. The breakfast was nice but the cooked breakfast was not self- service. Around the hotel there were plenty of seating areas. Some form of entertainment was held each evening. Although there was a lift to the upper floors, there were however a lot of stairs. The adjoining wall was paper thin or we just had a very loud neighbour.

If you're looking for a traditional friendly family-run Jersey hotel, you'll really like the Norfolk.The warm welcome is there the moment you walk through the door. We paid a very fair price for our double room on second floor (via lift or stairs) which included breakfast. Room bigger than I had imagined with lots of wardrobe and cupboard storage. Town view from window with a partial view of the entrance to the Howard Davis Park. It's a spacious hotel with lots of sofas and small rooms downstairs. There was traditional entertainment in the bar every night: singers, musicians, a comedian etc. Breakfast was included in the large dining room. Maria was our very friendly waitress and it's good to have tea, coffee and toast brought to the table. There is a good choice of juices, cereals and fruit on the breakfast bar and then you put in an order for cooked or continental. You can reserve a table for the evening mea, but we ate out. There's plenty of parking for hotel guests, but we didn't hire a car as the hotel is central and there is a bus stop outside for the excellent Liberty bus service. The rose garden area outside was perfect in the hot weather while we were there and I had a couple of swims in the outdoor unheated pool. Bonus: If you like to print out your boarding passes there is a desktop in reception. The reveiews I had read were just right and I am vry pleased to add to these. An excellent stay at the Norfolk. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Service for breakfast and dinner was very good. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Spacious room. Easy 10-15 minute walk from St Helier bus station. (Bus stop right outside front door - I didn't use but goes to bus station for other connections.) The hotel is quite dated in decor and facilities. Our bathroom contained high sided bath with shower in - ok if you are physically able to get into it. Also there wasn't a blind on the bathroom window which meant it was very hot due to the sun blasting in through it for most of the day. No modcons like Aircon - just windows and the hope of a breeze when the weather is very warm. The breakfast and dinner are simple, limited variety. However the food we had was very good.
