What a gem! If you want to getaway to decompress, this is it. Showed up early, checked in, grabbed a Rose’ and headed to the enjoy the ocean view. Sat for 15 mins and then saw a very large whale breach about two miles off shore. What a beginning. We had a room with a hot tub. Incredible to sit in the tub at night, hear the ocean and see so many stars, including satellites and the space station fly over. They also had a BBQ on the terrace outside the room, no reason to leave! Tough to ask for anything more….. Room, hot tube, BBQ all very clean upon arrival!

While the view is spectacular and on the surface the room was ok, there are maintenance issues. The fire place in the room we booked did not work, the faucets leaked and needed tightened, you couldn’t have just the room light on without the fan. The fan chain was not there, the light chain could not be reached unless you were 5’5”. Definitely not worth the money we paid!

We loved our overnight stay at Fort Ross Lodge during our ride up the coast. Josh was such a personable and kind host. The views were lovely and we especially enjoyed morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs facing the water and a couple soaks in the hot tub on our patio. We had a tasty breakfast Sammie from the lodge shop. Timber Cove resort just one mile north was lovely for a burger and live music. Would love to return!
