6/10 Okay

The location was great but the room itself was so hot that it was hard to be in there. We opened the window and turned the fan on but it was almost no help. We really enjoyed the location.

10/10 Excellent

Quaint building in a wonderful area of Paris, room was fine although a little oddly arranged, the staff were wonderful. It’s an old hotel but nothing unexpected.

If youre looking for a clean, safe place to stay with excellent customer service and incredibly located (5 min walk from the Louvre) than you cant ask for a better place to stay. If you want fancy and lots of amenities, youre best checking elsewhere
Chris, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

I would rate this as a 1 star only. Old hotel and needs updating. This is below some hostels i have stayed in as a student.

Aurelie and the other folks (two different gentlemen) were as nice as one gets. The bed sheets were very clean. Whoever owns this money needs to put some money into the rooms. The maintenance guy/cleaner were awesome too, and very polite and helpful! The other guests were quiet, although we think the person next to us was smoking cigarettes. The 'hood is really loud, but hey, you ARE right in the middle of Paris. With that said, the charge for the room should be about 20 bucks, not over 100.

This is the kind of hotel I would have stayed in as a college student. It is a basic room for cheap. Now as an adult, I think it was pretty subpar. There is no air conditioning so be aware of that (cheaper hotels we stayed at in France had a/c). The shower was something like what we saw when we traveled in Cameroon. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and solicitous. The location is great to be right near Les Halles and the subway and the RER. There were lots of good dining options and the center of Paris is just a very short walk away. If you are a budget traveler, don't mind a relatively dirty room, a pretty bad shower, no air conditioning, and a very narrow staircase to get to your room, this might be a choice for you. If you want any sort of luxury or convenience, this might not be a good choice.

Great location!

Hreat value for money. It is an old building with low ceilings and slanted floors, but it is clean. Staff are great! Know that its a walk up, so lots of stairs. Perfect location. Thanks for a great visit!
Natalie, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Great location, good staff, old hotel. Good value for location.
WILLIE, 5-night trip

4/10 Poor

The hotel needs some serious upgrades. It was more like a motel. Very old, room was tiny, bathroom shower you could only take 1 step forward and 1 back. I hit my arms on the shower handle several times. No elevator.
Melissa, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

This is a small, older property which is inexpensive compared to other properties in the area. As long as you don't have too high expectations, this can be a pleasant and economical place to stay near Notre Dame, the Louvre and other tourist sites.

It was ok. Friendly staff, meager room.
DON, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Aurélie at the hotel desk was extremely helpful in a number of ways. Other staff were helpful, too.
John, 4-night trip

8/10 Good

The hotel was in a great location, relatively. And the staff were great. I considered it because it was also one of the cheapest in the area to stay there. The only real problem I had was that the shower curtain really needs to be washed. It smells terrible and makes the room smell terrible. I already knew the room was going to be small and the shower was abnormally small. And because of that, you can’t help but get water on the floor and have to manually use the shower head to wash as it won’t wash you when it’s on the hook. But generally it was a very good stay, and if you’re of medium build or smaller, you can manage the shower.
Ryan, 3-night trip

I will not recommend the hotel to someone else. Some staff members are good, bt others should not be in the hospitality business.
Emmanuel, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

Very plain Living with inadequate bath facilities. And no elevator. Cheap hotel in a great location.
William, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Small room but very comfortable and reasonably priced. A bit sparce on bathroom necessities such as soap and shower gel. Had some issues with the toilet flushing.

CHEAP HOTEL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest hotel in the area and I got exactly that. Small uncomfortable room, smelly bathroom and shower that barely worked. WIFI did not work at all. But it is VERY INEXPENSIVE. I was happy with what I got because I knew what I was going into.
Sam, 4-night trip

4/10 Poor

This place is dumpy and located in a very noisy area. My standards aren't very high but I still think this place needs a make-over. But the shabby appearance makes several standard things feel like nice surprises (ie, clean white sheets, hot water, apparent lack of bed bugs and other insects). No A/C means the window needs to remain open to maintain a comfortable room temp. I knew this from previous guests' comments going in. What I didn't know is that this is a bar district. Lots of people yelling and shouting until the early hours of the morning. I wear earplugs when I sleep and even they didn't help very much. Also, the wifi didn't work on the 4th floor. And two of the three front desk workers I interacted with were disinterested and rude. The third employee is a really nice guy. Next time I am in Paris I will pay more money to stay in better accommodations.
Paul, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

good budget choice

If you are looking for value for money this does give this - it is the cheaper end so it is tired but it was cool height of summer, and affordable height of olympics. The bed was clean and the staff were lovely and its in the centre of things so you do get what oyou pay for but we felt it was a good choice
tanya, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I loved this old hotel! You have to keep the key in the door in case of fire to let youreelf out and there was no fire alarm in my room, but other than that, it was great. There were tons of restaurants right outside and I easily walked to the Louvre. The staff are great and very helpful. There is no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up 5 flights of stairs.

Price compared to others on the area is not to bad according to the location. Staf very friendly and cooperative. One hotel Need minimum in 2021 one smal tv, one usb port charger, a nice painting for the walls, super clean And no broken toilet. Cold and hot water ok. Location good. Close to subway.

Have seen better days

Great location. Nice people. Butvtge hotel has seen better days. The wifi is so slow and erratic, i could not even check mail. And there is not alway hot water in the shower. But it is not expensive for Paris.
