Nice Stay at Friendly Hills Inn/Whittier.

Just an overnight stay, but I was impressed with the cleanliness and overall appearance of the room. It was comfortable and quiet...just what I needed. Unlike other inns/motels in the area, the Inn seemed relatively safe from some of the urban/suburban ills that are found in many parts of SoCal. Then Inn is situated on a stretch of Whittier Blvd. which is a business and resident friendly neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Lady at check in desk was extremely condescending and snarky. When confirming my reservation through Expedia she continually said “it’s a pay at property” when asking questions regarding the procedure for charging my card etc, she replied “it’s a pay at property, what don’t you understand about this?” Traveling is exhausting enough, to have a staff member welcome you with curt responses rather than a welcoming attitude just tarnished the whole experience at the property

We had a pleasant stay at the Friendly Hills Inn. While this property is older it has been nicely updated and is attractive. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were a few minor scuffs on furniture but everything was sturdy. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in our room. Towels were clean and plentiful. Our bed was comfortable, sheets and bedding were clean. Plenty of hot water and it was quiet as the property doesn't face directly onto the street. The check-in experience was nice and all the staff were kind. We stayed for three nights and would return again!

Very clean, comfortable, and very affordable

I really enjoyed my stay here. Not super fancy, but this property is super clean and the room was very nice. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the drainage was perfect in the shower. I have no complaints about staying here for the price. I did ask if they offer late check out and was told no because they have other reservations, but that’s understandable. It just would have been better if they did because we were in town for a funeral. Even the pool was very clean.
