We had a great stay here. Staff is primary reason, close second is the location. It is expensive relative to other options or other beach side resorts along the California/Baja coast. One big reason is Baja/Mexico has a large tax on items - rooms 33%, cars & food/15% by my best estimation. Staff seemed to love their jobs, cared about our stay and enjoyed engaging with us - maybe more humoring us : ). Rooms were fantastic, comfortable and I can't express enough how nice it was to have the roof top. There is a hot tub (not shallow) along with a fire pit and a large lounge couch with umbrella...great space. Food is good for the most part, some hits and some misses, but overall good...again, just note there's a 15% charge on top of the menu price.

We loved this our time at Villa Santa Cruz and will definitely go back if we find ourselves in the area again. The staff were amazing, the service excellent, grounds and property top notch. We saw so many whales in the ocean, and such great birdwatching as well. The beach is pristine and peaceful. The pool is clean and lovely. The hot tub was actually hot too! The only thing I would factor in to your stay is that the roundtrip transportation from SJD is a little pricier than I expected. Not a huge deal, just something to consider when budgeting for your trip.

We LOVE staying here and have stayed both in their regular rooms and in their tents. The tents are my favorite because you are literally staring at the crashing ocean waves. It’s such a special treat! The pool area is perfect, the restaurant/bar is cozy and cool. The overall property is beautiful!

Todo Santos is a beautiful town, this hotel has a great beach front location, and a beautiful villa setting and a great restaurant. The breakfast that was included with our stay was delicious, the bartender making drinks poolside Aaron was so sweet and made the best mango margaritas from scratch ( so good). It was a girls weekend getaway ( four adults) so we shared “The Familia” suite, it had a nice little kitchen set up. A plush king bed, but the two other beds are not true twins, the length is that of a child's bed. I had called the hotel directly to inquire about the room once booked, and I spoke to a gentleman who told me he could accommodate two rollaway twin beds, somehow this was a miscommunication as they were never an option, they managed to set up a bed with added cushions to give it length, so it was workable. The issue was the two girls that slept on those beds were attacked by some kind of insect/ bug. I slept on the king bed and had no issues the first two nights, but by the third the girls were frustrated and extremely uncomfortable, we brought it up to front desk and they quickly cleaned up and addressed the issue, I slept on the “twin” third night and did not experience the bites thankfully. Also the bathroom was nice and spacious but the shower had the worst water pressure, the outside pool shower was better. We had a great time overall the place is nice just lacks a few details.

MY FIANCE AND I ENJOYED A TRULY MAGICAL TIME AT THE VILLA! THE BUILDING OUR ROOM WAS LOCATED IN WAS A TASTEFUL MIX OF OLD MEXICO AND CHIC . FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE GREEN ROOM AN ADDED PLUS. THE ONLY NEGATIVE FOR SOME IS THAT IT IS OFF THE BEATEN PATH.......BUT FOR US THAT ADDED TO IT'S CHARM.
