Room was excellent, spacious and comfortable.
Douglas, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice room. 1 member of staff on reception and nobody available to help carry cases too the 3rd floor. Photo of the exterior of the hotel is totally misleading. The outer door of the hotel was just a frame as the glass was missing and looked like it had been for some time. Room was cleaned but stair carpets hadn't been vacuum for a long time.
Glass panel missing on entrance door and reception area was freezing. Also not good for security of the hotel. We stayed 3 nights and the door was not repaired. Looked like it had been broken for a long time
As above

Tiny.

Coffee maker did not work. Room was too small for normal size people. Weak internet. TV difficult to use. Steep stairs. Part time front desk staff.

Good location

Good location but room is outdated. The shower curtain needs to be replaced as it has a moldy smell. Sink faucet is loose and the bed is too soft. There’s no house keeping. We stayed for 3 days and the trash was piling up.

Keys didn’t work very well for the front door and room but everything was beautiful! Loved the room and the area. Would love to go back :)

6/10 Good

The hotel was in an amazing location. The rooms were cute and full of charm. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning (it blew) and without screens on the windows - made for a buggy loud night. Also, one room had cups but no coffee maker while The other had the reverse. As there was no onsite staff after our initial check in we could Not ask for more towels or a coffee machine for the room without. Parking was really hard to find. When we did (about a 9 min walk from the hotel) the rates were reasonable and with it being so close to everything - the car stayed in the lot. A highlight was the complementary breakfast at the restaurant next door. It is indigenous run and owned and offers an amazing array of classic French and indigenous cuisine - I would Turn to this hotel just for access to this restaurant.

2/10 Poor

Great location poor service

The room was not clean lot of dirt everywhere the bed sheet had trace of blood the towel was not sufficient and the coffee was not even replenished
Deelven, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Like many properties in the Old City, parking does not come included -- and that's fine; you just have to know that going in. Apart from that, the location is fantastic with tons of sights, restaurants, and shopping steps away. Very walkable. Great Wi-Fi, too. I enjoyed my stay!

Door closure a hefty problem.

There is no elevator & stairs are fairly steep but nothing like Holland. The rooms are very small but clean. No one at the hotel desk on the weekend and the outer lock could use some graphite. The closure on the room door is set on high and it was very difficult to open and close. As a senior I had to really put my shoulder into it and only got it open enough to squeeze my body through sideways, getting out of the room presented another challenge. The breakfast provided was delicious. All in all, except for the hefty door closure which may have trapped me in the room, it was a good experience but not really for 2 people in a room.
Wendy, 2-night trip

Steep spiral stairs not sutable for some people.
Jeanette, 3-night trip

The room was not clean. There was hair of various lengths and colors on the floor. Mold in the grout around the tub.
Svend, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Amazing location, but the compliments end there. The room was pretty dirty, lots of little hairs on things, brown stain on the towels, etc. Parking wasn’t included so that was not ideal trying to find parking. Also had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs without any offer of help from the classically indifferent French customer service. Overall, the location was perfect, but there are lots of options in the area, I’m sure there are better options.
Colin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent location! Staff were good but not always available at reception as it is a small hotel. The room I had was quite small, but perfect for a solo traveller (I don't know if all the rooms are that size). It was clean. There had been some updates but shows some wear. I would recommend it if you prioritize good location and cleanliness at a good price. No bells and whistles, but I stayed 3 nights during Carnaval and was happy staying here. Oh! No elevator.. and most rooms are up at least one flight of stairs so be aware depending on your luggage situation.

First, it is important to remember this is very inexpensive - but, as they say, you get what you pay for. We stay in town a couple of times a year, this was the worst experience ever - just fundamentally blah (or worse) in every respect. Impolite service, kept everyone waiting for 4:00 check in even though rooms were ready. It was raining and there was no where to sit. Paint peeling off leaky ceiling; filthy smudges on tv screen; hair in shower; walls badly scuffed and scraped; bed super uncomfortable. Still, safe, secure, convenient location and inexpensive. I would rather pay more and get a lovely stay, but if you value savings over comfort and cleanliness then this is the one for you!
