From the minute we pulled into this property, I knew pictures didn’t do it any justice. It is beyond beautiful. The views are out of this world. Rooms were so cute, beds were comfortable. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! For reference, we traveled with 2 adults, 2 kids ages 11 and 12 and a 1 year old.

This is a classic, elegant upscale hotel with well maintained, individual cottages each with a spectacular view of Lake Arenal (when the clouds lift). The food is outstanding, both the included breakfast and the ala carte lunch/dinner menu. The service is excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. It rained all 5 days we stayed here. But the rain did not keep us from hiking, birding, going to hot springs or hanging out at the covered hot tub on premises. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing and adventuresome vacation and I would highly recommend La Mansion.

Wonderful stay. Very nice team and they even had staff to show us our suite. We stayed one night and did the fishing tour in the morning. Gorgeous view right outside our porch with nice wild life and fauna. They have breakfast included in the morning with choice of how to cook the eggs. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were well maintained and had an authentic feel, although the shower was a bit difficult to keep at a consistent temperature. Beds were comfy. Pool was a bit chilly. The location was a bit of a drive from Arenal and La Fortuna, so I was glad that we had rented a vehicle to get around. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend to others looking to stay in the area.
