What a great boutique hotel in the 1re arrondissement. Very clean hotel and rooms. Room is creatively decorated, clean, and well-stocked bathroom with l’Occitane products. Staff is so friendly and helpful! Hotel is in great location, walkable to dining options (even late night options), public transportation, shopping, and touristy areas! The only thing I liked was the position: the Louvre Museum is reachable in only five minute by walking; there are really good restaurants and shops nearby.

I stayed here several years ago and it was fine. I was very disappointed for a 4 star hotel. Hardly any place to put things, no clock, no instructions on how to use the phone. I could not get the front desk. The sink area in the bath area had no place to put anything. The water in the shower jumped from cold to scalding! I was very disappointed and would have moved but I would have lost alot of money. Hotels.com did help me get my money back on a second reservation when I learned that I may have to return home early. Thank you for that.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Crayon Rouge! The decor was everything!!! This place is an art, vintage, and literary lover’s dream. The staff was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Everything was clean and tidy, and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. You can also leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out if you’d like to explore Paris before departing. It’s a short walk (10-20 min) to the Louvre, Musée de L’Orangerie, and Musée D’Orsay. About the same distance on the metro to some really fun thrift stores in Marais. I got around and back quickly and safely as a solo traveler. It’s in front of the Banque de France so it’s pretty quiet at night, perfect for myself since my room was on the second floor. I slept like a baby.
