I had a wonderful stay at The Grand Hotel Punta del Este — truly an excellent experience. From the very beginning, the service was outstanding. From the reception to the staff assisting with luggage, everyone was extremely attentive, polite, and welcoming. The room was impeccable — very clean and well-prepared — and the welcome amenities were a thoughtful touch. In fact, this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast is another highlight, with a wide variety of options and great quality overall. As a point of observation — which does not impact my overall evaluation of the hotel — I stayed during a large corporate event hosted by a major pharmaceutical company. During these events, the hotel tends to be quite full, making common areas like the breakfast space busier and noisier than usual. That said, this is not a drawback of the hotel itself, but rather something to keep in mind when planning your stay. If possible, avoiding periods with large conferences might enhance the experience. Overall, an outstanding hotel that I highly recommend.

This Hotel Snob was very impressed

The only downside was going during the offseason and the nightly rooftop bar was only open Thursday through Sunday, besides that the hotel staff truly lived up to its reputation of being a premium hotel. Everything from the from desk staff, the daily cleaning service, the concierge and the bartender were top notch.

Wonderful stay at this well located resort. I am from North America so had no idea what to expect. My check-in was flawless. A wonderful gal who studied at McGill in Canada took care of me. It was wonderful to hear a friendly Canadian voice. The breakfast was the best that I had in 15 days of travel in S America. The pool was beautiful. Rooms were spacious and 10/10 clean. The amenities for children are incredible. Highly recommend! P.S. I tried the rooftop restaurant for dinner but after I was seated no one came to my table for 15min to greet me or offer me a drink so I left and ate at the hotel lobby bar - great service there!
