JÀttebra lÀge och en vÀldigt trevlig kille som checkade in oss och sedan serverade oss i restaurangen. Hotellet har vÀl sett sina bÀsta dagar, rÀtt slitet och lite ofrÀscht. Men helt ok att bo dÀr en natt. LÀget Àr ju jÀttebra och skönt att bara kunna gÄ ner och Àta direkt pÄ Bishops, dÀr maten var jÀttebra.

Det var nĂ„gra törstiga som tyckte att deras öl var viktigare Ă€n hotellets gĂ€ster och trĂ€ngde sig före. Men rummet var bra, förvĂ„nansvĂ€rt tyst med tanke pĂ„ publivet tvĂ„ trappor ner. Sköna sĂ€ngar. Bra frukost och gott kaffe - de snĂ„lade inte med de dyra bönorna, nĂ„got som vi stött pĂ„ nĂ€r vi övernattat pĂ„ andra stĂ€llen.

This particular Bishops Arms feels as though it isn't quite convinced that it's a hotel. There is no reception - one engages the attention of one of the staff in the bar. Once checked in however, the room is perfectly adequate, and, as it turned out, acceptably quiet, given that there is a pub downstairs and it was a weekend. Breakfast is fine (can't speak for the cooked food as we didn't sample it). There is carparking, but it isn't free.

Hotel itself is fine. However, let down by the 4 pm check in time which is not great. The doors are locked until 4 pm so if you arrive before this and it is raining you get wet. There needs to be a way to check in before this, and be able to drop off your bags. It is more of pub than a hotel. The hotel has a life but it is very hit and miss to get it to start and sometimes it stops between floors. The room was fine just let down by check in at 4pm and no way of dropping off your luggage prior to this.

Rummet vi hade i tredje vÄningen kan behöva renovering. Gamla möbler. Sofforna Àr slitna. Fanns bara en rullgardin sÄ rummet var ganska ljus tidigt pÄ morgonen. Vi upplevde att rummet var varmt, med tanke pÄ att det Àr fortfarande vÄr och det Àr 19 grader ute sÄ kan det nog bli riktigt varmt pÄ sommaren.
