We were returning from Yellowstone and wanted to see Dinosaur National Monument on our way back to New Mexico. After 8+ hours of driving, we wanted to get a meal, soak in a hot tub, and get a good night's sleep before visiting Dinosaur National Monument in the morning. The restaurant was still open when we arrived and they kept the pool/hot tub area open until 11 pm, giving us enough time to eat and relax before getting some sleep. We were very comfortable and pleased with our accomodations.

Although an older upscale hotel (with onsite restaurant, lounge/bar, and meeting/conference rooms) it was very clean and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable and relatively quiet for the age of the building. The only negative about the room was the lack of any charging ports on lamps or wall outlets - be sure to bring your own. The 27" smart tv also reflected the hotel's age. We didn't take advantage of the restaurant, bar, or pool area but on a quick look they looked clean and welcoming. Complementary breakfast offerings were ample and varied, and refreshed on an ongoing basis. Parking lot was well lighted and seemed secure.

Breakfast was terrible. Watered down coffee and frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich. The lady who checked us in, was curt and not very friendly. The duct tape on our rug was not a welcome site. The gentleman who checked us out was wearing a cap, shirt and shorts, not professionally looking at all.

Toasters don’t work, the jam packets were tar, not spreadable. There was a hole in our floor under the carpet, you couldn’t fall in because of the carpet but it’s unsettling to have a small free fall experience. There was a garbage pail in the hall by the stairs catching an active leak and it wasn’t raining.
