The pictures on the web are a bit deceiving. It appears that, although outdated, the property is in better condition than it really is. The walk ways made of wood are all splintered and warped. The room, which usually never bothers me because how much time do you spend in there? However, the water for the shower was luke warm, the bed looked and felt like it was from the 80s. I don’t even think you can call it a kitchenette. It is very clean, you cannot deny that, but extremely outdated with uncomfortable bed and lounge chairs. Location…when people say you need a car they are 100% correct. Walking to palm beach is not far, nor a bad walk along the water. It doesn’t seem far at all when you’re walking there. The problem is…where do you get food? Restaurants and grocery stores are not a short walk away. You will either need a taxi or your own car. The water in front of the hotel is not swimmable but being in Aruba, it is still gorgeous. There is a road between the hotel and beach. It doesn’t impact you in the least. It is very easy to cross and it doesn’t impact the view at all. Overall, my true impression of the hotel itself, is that they’re keeping it alive until it sells.

Laid back beachside place

A nice comfortable place, a little worn around the edges, but clean. Directly across the street from beach. Good air conditioning and hot showers which some don’t understand can’t be assumed to be there when staying in Aruba. A very quiet area away from the hotels but close enough to them if you want to visit. I would stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be clean and well-maintained. It's conveniently close to the beach, although a bit further from restaurants and grocery stores. Despite this, the surrounding area is beautiful, especially with its stunning sunsets, which balanced out the distance. The hotel itself, while a bit rundown, is well-maintained and impressively clean. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Nothing fancy. It was fine for a few nights, and had almost everything we needed. Just lacked a hair dryer, but they were able to get an iron for me as well. The maid never came for our three night stay, so that would have been nice, but we managed to keep the place clean. Nice and quiet away from the strip, with tons of parking out front. Across the street from a beach (not great for swimming, but great to watch the sunset).

Our host was phenomenal and so helpful. It was our first trip to Aruba- from how to arrange for a taxi, catch a local bus anywhere on the island, which grocery to shop at, which beaches were around. The view from our porch was so beautiful. Kite sailing and windsurfing was within walking distance- lessons available for newbies- the pool area was cute with the coconut trees for shade- we adored the country, its people and our host🌞

Cozy little units, a little dated. A/C worked like a charm. Small pool, but good getaway from the heat. Beach across the road lacked the sand that the hotel strip imports had to wear water shoes. Studio walkout with ridiculous view.

This place is very special. It's older, yes, but very clean and well cared for by wonderful people. The location is a 5 minute walk to the Ritz but far enough that it is so peaceful. All the snorkeling charters go up this way anyway. You can see turtles from Malmok beach which is 5 minutes walking north. Beautiful sunsets every night from your unobstructed patio. Right out front is a mecca for kiteboards, sailboards, and other water sports.

Do not stay here!

The linens, pillows, sheets, blankets, pillow coverings were stained and unsanitary. Room was poorly cleaned. We had lizards living in the kitchen. The spring bed mattress was, by the looks of it, pulled out of a dumpster 30 years ago. Staff was very rude. There was nobody in the office when we checked in at 5pm, there was a map on the door to our room with our key in the rooms table. We slept on beach towels and checked out in the morning. No refund for the week! Didn't matter there was no way we were spending another minute here. I've stayed at some cheap places, this one I think they are counting on you leaving. I believe i got ring worm from our short stay here. By the next evening after staying here is when i noticed it.
