Excellent location and a great deal for the traveller on a budget. The staff is friendly, and i had a nice clean room with restroom. But this is not a hotel, so it's not for everybody.

I ended up here during Web summit with a last minute reservation -there where no other options available- and I have to say it surprised me. The place is clean. The staff is ok. The location is great. It is what it is, a bed to sleep a few hours and keep going.

We had a perfectly adequate small room for a reasonable price. However more attention to maintenance very much needed. In our room the toilet seat wasn’t properly secured and would fall off; the small glass shelf over the bathroom sink was falling from the wall mounts and so tilted it was useless; and one window curtain was missing and the remains of one curtain rod holder was still hanging on the wall. All of these items could be easily fixed with some simple maintenance. Also a few pictures placed in appropriate locations on the wall would enhance the space at very little cost and effort.

Just an OK place

Location was perfect, you can walk from there easily everywhere since is located barrio alto. Room was ok, it had everything I needed, the bathroom was really small but at least I had one in my room. The toilet was leaking, and at night it gets really loud since the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The person in the lobby was not very welcoming or friendly maybe because I don’t speak any Portuguese but overall this place is ok for what I paid.

The room was a bit tight, we hardly were able to fit the luggage. Lucky we had only two for three people. However the beds were comfortable, and there was AC. The surrounding area is not nice during the day, it looks like we were in a back alley with garbage tins on the street. However at night the street transforms, full with restaurants and bars. Very lively and full of people. I was surprised how the atmosphere changed, it looks quite nice. However bring earplugs, people get very happy and it is noisy.

Pleasantly surprised!

My expectations were low since an older hostel. When I arrived, the front desk clerk was kind and spoke to me in my language even helped me bring up my bags to the room. The room had its private bathroom and a small balcony which was a major plus! Bathroom is small, toilet was fine, shower had low pressure. Nothing amazing but good to have in the room. Beds were fine, room wasn’t the cleanest but the location made up for it! If you want to relax THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. The party starts at dark and goes on until 2-3am. I wouldn’t fall asleep until 3am so worked for me. Amazing bars, restaurants and spots to hang. I will be back!

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Feiermeile Lissabons. Wer eine gute Unterkunft fußläufig zu Restaurants und Bars sucht, ist hier absolut richtig. Ein zimmer mit Blick zum Innenhof ist ratsam, da es abends recht lebendig auf der Straße zugehen kann. Das Personal ist freundlich, jeden Tag wurde das Zimmer und das Gemeinschaftsbad gereinigt. Die Unterkunft ist nicht die neueste, übertraf aber meine Erwartungen. Absolut empfehlenswert für Leute, die am Tag die Stadt erkunden wollen und am Abend das Flair von Lissabon vor der Tür haben wollen. Auch der Preis ist gerechtfertigt.
