Almost didn’t book The Hostel because I thought it was a hostel, turns out it isn’t anymore (not for ~20yrs). It was at one time, and started off as an affordable spot for families in the 60’s at the same time the tram and mangey moose were built (for only $10 a night).
Not that there is anything wrong with hostels, but I was with my teenage son and wanted something quiet, clean and private for our couple of days at Jackson.
Turns out The Hostel is perhaps the most perfect spot at Jackson with just the necessities you need to maximize your experience at the resort with only a couple minute walk to the Tram!
Not only is it affordable, but it’s quiet, convenient, clean, comfortable and has an awesome vibe that makes it the ideal spot for those who would gladly take “no frills” accommodations for the most perfect location in the Village. The rooms have been updated with an industrial and minimalist design that punches above its pay grade for the village.
While it would have been nice to have a hot tub, I’d gladly take the Ski tuning room, game room, cost savings and awesome vibe in exchange. I’ll definitely be back!
