Room was very clean and hotel is well organized. Nothing fancy in terms of amenities but what they do have is cozy and charming. We only ate breakfast on property. It was good but not great. Only 5 or 6 items to choose from for the breakfast that’s included and the menu didn’t change while we were there. Location is great as long as you want to be in town.

No frills hotel BUT it was spotlessly clean, shiny floors. Shower was clean, but a bit outdated. Staff was amazing!!! Good restaurant at the hotel (the Open Kitchen) and also a good Italian restaurant just across from it. The hotel is located on a quiet side street, but only about 5 min walk from the main street in La Fortuna. Also, a very good coffee shop on that street (Vanilla).

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arenal Rabfer! The staff are super helpful—a big shout out to Fernanda and Fernando on the front desk, who were a huge help in booking activities (there is so much to choose from!) and transportation. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the pool is lovely, the food in the restaurant is delicious, and the location is fantastic: less than a block to restaurants, a bank, a fresh fruit store, and anything else you might want. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
