Love this property and all of its amenities. Easy check in, quiet clean rooms, AC felt great, clean refreshing pools with beautiful views of the mountains. Shower had good water pressure and the toiletries were excellent. Comfortable, but firm bed, and a lovely continental breakfast delivered to our room was such a treat that made our stay feel extra special. We will definitely be back.

The room was veey clean and well appointed. The natural light from all the windows was so nice to let in the beautiful surrounding. The air conditioning worked almost too well. L8ved the pool! Second time staying here and it was just as great as my first. This place is always cute, clean, and very quiet. Had the hot tub to myself for a couple hours. There are two pools and two hot tubs, which is plenty considering there are not a ton of rooms. Breakfast was perfect and set outside my door at the time period of my choosing. No front desk, but didn't need one.

The property itself is lovely. It's clean and fairly quiet. We had the suite and other guest sat in our outside chairs even though each room has chairs. There are no staff on duty that you can ask to help you when issues arise such as very noisy guests and people sitting in your chairs. The property is owned by a hospitality chain and they are trying to save money by not having a staff member on site.

The A/C worked well, the hot tubs were at 100 degrees and the pool was clean and warm. I have been going to BVI for 20 years. Since Highway West bought it I have noticed much more deferred maintenance, some of which is going to cost them in the long run. The doors and window sills are wooden and have always been well maintained. Now the doors are faded and looking worn from the sun. The window sills are already starting to dry out. If Highway West reads these reviews they need to get started on re-staining/oiling the doors and windows before they are beyond repair. Which won't take long in the desert. The AirBNB style check-in is fine. I miss the breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. The DG used to be raked pretty religiously, but was not on our last trip. There were other small things that I noticed. When Rich & Gwynn owned it they were on-site and those details were noticed. Overall still an amazing place to stay for a relaxing & romantic getaway. .

Borrego Springs is a highly underrated area, spoke to many locals in San Diego who have never even been. A couple of good local restaurants and the Inn was very quiet with an underrated breakfast and fantastic scenery, fantastic getaway.
