1970s motel

This is a 1970's motel, due to the design it can never be anything else. Rooms small and dark, no electrical outlet in bathroom. AC noisy. Motel is clean, manager friendly.

Small town motel that was quiet, clean for a nights stay. Service was courteous and friendly. Not a 5 star hotel but adequate for my needs.

Property is close to the Scenic Railroad if you want to walk. Otherwise you can stay in a nearby town, Alamosa. Bigger town and nicer accommodations. The hotel is outdated. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Even though the property is quite old, the owners do all they can to make staying there pleasant. The room was very clean with the necessities well provided. They make the most of what is possible.

Excellent overnight for the nearby Scenic Railroad

While this is an older facility, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and lastly it is a park at the door motel. No long hallways. The facility is very near the Cumbres & Toltec Railway station and it is convenient to restaurants in Antonito. Nice owners.

We knew what we were getting especially for the price, the room was clean, the staff friendly but it is still pretty rundown. We went to ride the train and it is right next to the train depot so that was nice. Just some FYIs, not complaints, they still use actual keys, office closes from 10pm-8am, and it is a little way out of town so no dining within walking distance, but the town is only a mile away with several dining options. It served it's purpose and was really the only option in town.

If your just looking for a place to sleep this will do the job. It's an older motel with no thrills, that needs updating. Check in went great, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure was awesome. My only real concern was that the door needed a deadbolt or just a better lock on it. I would stay here again.

managers are good people very nice. Owner needs to give them some money to do the simple repairs the Inn needs! I had good time there any way ! THIS IS A VERY BASIC MOTEL AS THE INTERNET SAYS.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made the visit pleasant. Motel needs painting on walls and doors and overall repair of entire facility.TV located over side of bed//hazardous for hitting your head while accessing heater/AC. No bedside clock. No telephone. No guide on how to operate TV.

Proximity to train is great

This motel is trying to come back from being closed due to Covid and previous owners extremely poor management and care of the facility. Rooms need a lot of work but were clean and the proximity to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (our intent) made it an easy walk (even with a toddler). The manager (new owner) was pleasant and you could tell she is chagrined that the place needs so much TLC to bring it to full usefulness. Though in need of some work, the place was clean. We would stay there again.

First off the room we stayed in was very clean. The lady in the check in area was very friendly. Keep in mind this is an old property, so it was a little run down. The beds were way too hard for my wife and I. The air conditioner was noisy. The exaust fan in the bathroom did not have a cover over it. You get what you pay for. The price was very reasonable compared to other places near by.

Pros: Excellent location to ride the historic train. Friendly check-in person. Cons: terrible door lock (not safe), the shower barely functions (water comes out the handles and tub spout, what's left trickles from the shower head). Tiny, thin towels and blanket. This place is just worn out. The railroad should buy it and turn it into a nice, convenient place to stay before or after the train ride. I would have paid more for a decent hotel room. Next time, I'll stay in Alamosa, pay more and make the drive down to the train in the morning.
