The most exceptional things about the hotel are the staff and the cleanliness of this traditional type of accommodation. We loved this little hotel on Miyajima Island! It was so cozy and had everything we needed. Even the tiny shower had amazing water pressure and was so cozy and nice. Definitely stay here if you're a traveler on a budget visiting Miyajima Island!

Sakaraya was incredibly convenient, within a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal. Staff were very accommodating,helpful and kind. The room was large and the futon mattresses were comfortable. We had the ocean view, beautiful settings, large room, comfortable bed/pillow. only thing is bathroom is extremely small, public bath is very nice. Staff are very helpful and we really enjoyed their hospitality. They'll serve breakfast for 500 yen, worth the price. Definitely recommend.
