Checked out early. On arrival late at night, had to wait for someone to attend reception. No hairdryer in room so couldn't wash hair after travelling for 20 hours as would have to sleep with wet hair. No response from reception by phone evening or in the morning, having tried several times. Reception didn't tell me on check-in about wi-fi password. 6 people at reception were complaining entry cards not working, in the lift they said that was a daily ocurrence. Information says 24/7 room service but on check-in around 11pm found that it was closed so nothing to eat. The bedroom was oppressive - shame they didn't give more room to the bedroom and less to huge bathroom. For me, tired and hungry the next morning, the decision to check out early was when there was no fresh coffee available at breakfast. Reception staff were surly. I was told they would not give refund for unused nights even though I checked out at 10am. I didn't even want to argue about issues - just booked into another hotel and moved. Life is too short to be stuck in a miserable hotel, not near to facilities, with no coffee at the start of your holiday. You can get better in Colombo for similar money.

La chambre était propre et très spacieuse avec vue sur la mer. Dommage que la baie vitrée était opaque et sale. Moquette un petit peu tachée. Très jolie vue sur le trois terrasse avec la piscine, par contre seulement trois transats pour tout l’hôtel qui comporte 12 étages. Petit déjeuner très copieux et avec beaucoup de choix pour tous les goûts.

Good room was given with sea view. Breakfast buffet was great. But when we checked in at around 3 pm on 4th July, we were told our room was not ready and had to wait for about half an hour. Actually what happened was our room was ready and want to given it to someone else. We learn that as we heard the conversation among front office personnel. So we had to demand for rooms to be ready immediatley. As a result we were given an upgraded room. Later someone called and apologized us and offered free breakfast. This is the reason I am giving 4 stars
