This is a fabulous place to stay if you are visiting Puerto Viejo de Talamanca or its environs. We had a two-bedroom (sleeps 5 if needed), one bath, fully equipped kitchen, lovely open air "living" and dining space with complete privacy. The price was phenomenal, the staff terrific and our four night stay was perfect. The space was cleaned and fresh towels delivered daily, bed linens changed on alternate days. Go there. You'll be glad you did.

La Finca Chica es un sitio muy acogedor. Tanto el propietario como la persona encargada del mantenimiento de la finca, Aurealiano, están muy pendientes de que todo esté correcto. We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed it very much - very relaxing days well spent. It was super comfortable, private, clean and had a beautiful garden right around you. Stunning house within tropical garden near beach

We stayed at the “Beach House” which was an absolutely stunning house and just a short walk to a beautiful little beach at Playa Chiquita. You can also walk to Punta Uva along the coast which is one of the best beaches in Puerto Viejo. Jenny was friendly, helpful and always with a smile and was always available if we needed anything. The house itself is beautiful and it felt very special to stay here with stunning grounds and amazing wildlife. There was a cleaner who came each day and left the entire house spotless.

We loved our stay at La Finca Chica! The host and his family made us feel right at home and very helpful with questions. The house is in the rain forest and has private access to the beach just a short stroll away. We seen so many beautiful birds, animals and critters. This place is perfect for a family with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You should stay here to get the full Costa Rican vibe!

Rumble in the jungle

Nice 2 day stay t the Caribbean coast. A nice wooden finca in the middle of a private jungle-like garden with lots of wildlife. A nice bungalow with a big open space, two smaller sleeping rooms with small queen size beds, shared bathroom and a self-service kitchen (where we only used the fridge). We ate out - both days we went to the French baker close to the residence for breakfast. Be prepared for windows without glass - but you can close the shutters if that gives you some more comfort during the noisy night (thanks to the howler monkeys and other animals) Plesantly surprised to see that we didn’t meet many mosquitos. It was beginning of rain season when we were there, and were not prepared for the high humidity that made drying (bathing)clothes and towels a difficult process. All in all - a nice and private stay close to the jungle (I even saw a keelbilled toucan one early morning).
