Rooms need a revamp, but great hotel otherwise.

The hotel, spa and restaurant were great. The only complaint was the standard of the room, which really could do with a revamp (especially for 300 euro a night). A better bed, unscratched floor and smart TV would be a good start. The room looked like it hadn’t had an upgrade for about fifteen years.

Allt var perfekt! Jag har fyllt i en sådan här text från er redan. Det enda vi kan klaga på var att nattsömnen blev störd eftersom det pågick ett bröllopsfirande i slottet med öppna fönster från diskoteket mot våra fönster/glasparti i vår paviljong och hotellrummet var ut mot gården dvs oljud och dunkadunka till 01:00 då vi åkt långt för att få sova. Det tog lång stund att somna efter det. Annars top notch

Vi hade höga förväntningar på Gränsö Slott & Spa, men tyvärr levde vistelsen inte upp till prisnivån. Vi betalade cirka 5 000 kr för en natt i dubbelrum i strandpaviljongen via Hotels, men spaentré ingick inte (vilket vi fick veta vid incheckningen och personalen vad väl medveten om att det är otydligt i villkoren via tredje part). Spaområdet upplevdes som dåligt städat, med tomma glas och skräp från andra gäster kvar vid pooler och bord. I övrigt ett helt okej spa! Vid frukosten stod många bord kvar med smutsig disk och användes inte trots att personalen hade gott om tid att duka av och torka rent. Sammantaget upplevde vi tyvärr ett bristande engagemang/känsla för service hos många i personalen. Middagen var den största besvikelsen. Trots höga priser var kvaliteten långt under förväntan - huvudrätten för Hälleflundra serverades var på alla sätt undermålig. Fisken var överstekt, hela anrättningen var osaltad och rabarbern träig och knappt ätbar. Råvarorna verkade hålla god kvalitet, men tillagningen gjorde dem inte rättvisa. Det positiva var de vackra omgivningarna och ett trevligt, om än ganska ordinärt, rum. Sammantaget kan vi tyvärr inte rekommendera en vistelse här till fullpris. För ungefär samma prisbild erbjuder Grand Hôtel i Stockholm en helt annan nivå av service och miljö.

Trevligt hotell. Middagen dålig, oklart om förrätten, sparrissoppa skulle vara varm eller kall? Serverades ljummen med frysta, iskalla bitar av sparris i. Huvudrätt gös med risotto, risotton var snarare en rissoppa istället för risotto. Blaskiga sönderkokade risgryn i en blöt sås.. Salt och peppar finns inte på bordet. Snobberi att man tycks anse att gästerna inte ska salta och peppra, det avgör tydligen kökets personal.. Som ätande gäst förbehåller jag mig dock rätten att avgöra själv om jag önskar mer salt, inget jag ska behöva be om! Frukost ok men personalen fyllde inte på trots många gäster.
