Cute little oasis

Very pretty gardens . Our garden cottage was a bit dark and the lighting poor but very nicely furnished . The breakfast was delightful. A pretty oasis in the centre of Clanwilliam .

BEST FOR GROUPS IN SEASON

RECEPTION GOOD, Stairs a bit difficult to get luggage up, but help at hand, room key doesnot fit well, Owner hands on .Excellent bed mattress nice and firm. Could do with more modern plug points for mobile and laptops. Good free internet. BIG tour GROUPS tend to get better service than solos.

The Secret Garden

This guest house is a real jewel, with comfortable and quiet rooms embedded in a spectacular garden. When you sit down for the excellent breakfast on the porch, among the plants and trees with weaver bird nests and song birds at the many small fountains which are distributed throughout the garden, and then take a refreshing dip in one of several small pools, you may never want to leave. Now that we have discovered this magic place, we are certain to make this a stop on future trips.

Historisches Gebäude in sehr großem üppigem Garten. Gartengestaltung und Gestaltung des Hauses Geschmacksache. Service wenig aufmerksam, Eigentümer nicht präsent bzw. nicht interessiert an den Gästen, Räume sehr unterschiedlich, genutzter Garden Room eher dunkel, frühstücksangebot ok. Parkplatz am Gelände.

Lovely Guesthouse, highly recommend

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Yellow Aloe Guesthouse. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Clanwilliam and visit the surrounding area. We were well looked after and had a great time.

This beautiful place is like a trip to another realm… so peaceful and with so many hidden garden areas to escape into. Our upstairs room in the main building, The Cream Room, was great… though if you are over 6 feet tall you will need to watch your head on the support beams of the ceiling in this charming room. They are right in the midst of Clanwilliam, so able to walk to shops, restaurants, etc. when you decide to venture outside the gates of Yellow Aloe, yet so quiet you’ll believe you’re already out in the countryside. Owners and staff are amazingly kind and efficient. Definitely hope to get back!

Such a wonderful location. I think May is a particularly beautiful time. Warm and the garden was stunning. Full of birds. Great to sit outside for breakfast. Very helpful staff.
