I wish the property was as advertised. No 24 hour desk so I had to wait for check in. Also said pool but you had to pay to use a pool that belongs to an actual hotel. The personal efforts and enthusiasm was appreciated but not what was advertised. Also, shower leaks, a few ants in the room, and towels awful.

Our stay at Bougainvillea Relais was wonderful. Maria was an excellent host! The room was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable, short walk to the main sights in town. Incredible restaurant right outside the door. We also took part in a recommended Amalfi Coast day trip and Capri tour which didnt dissapoint.

A photo with the pool is very misleading. Definitely overpriced for a small room. This is not the hotel Bougainvillea Relais. In fact, the hotel is several blocks away and their is no access to the hotel except for a $20 per person pool pass. The bathroom was clean but there was a ring of black mold around the ceiling. That was cleaned after I complained. Towels were like sand paper and the sheets were worn and tattered.

Lovely room with balcony breakfast!

We had the most lovely stay in Sorrento! The location is very central and a great base to wander around Sorrento, and 5 minutes walk to the station for access to Pompeii / the Amalfi coast. Maria Teresa was so helpful throughout our stay - she was always available whenever we needed advice and helped us make arrangements even at short notice. Our highlight was daily breakfast on the balcony - the fresh croissants were delicious! Thank you!

Maria Teresa was so helpful throughout our stay - she was always available whenever we needed advice and helped us make arrangements even at short notice. Maria Teresa is a wonderful hostess and helpful in suggesting tours, the beach, restaurants, etc. She is very accessible. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was great to have the delicious breakfast brought to the room each morning at the time requested and to be able to eat out on the patio. Being within walking distance to nearby restaurants, shops, the Lift down to the beach and port, was great.

Sweet little room

Lovely room but very small. Nice breakfast delivered to your room every morning and served on the balcony. Our balcony faced the street so it was too loud to sit out there. No full-length mirror. For us, it was a bit far from the main square, about a 10-15 minute walk. The owner was very helpful with tours and taxis. We even locked ourselves out of the room and she had to come all the way back.

So happy we found this place. It’s a great place to stay in Sorrento! Teresa the proprietor was a gracious host who made sure everything was taken care of. Cappuccino, croissants and yogurt breakfast on the balcony was a perfect way to start the day. It’s walkable to downtown Sorrento to access to shops and restaurants. The memory foam was very comfortable, the auto shades make the room completely dark and the sound proof doors kept the street noise out. Just the way we like it. Like all European hotels the rooms are small but comfortable for two people. There’s a terrific Italian restaurant just next door where the food and service was amazing at an affordable price. We did the Pompeii tour that Teresa was able to secure for us and would recommend it for anyone visiting the area. Teresa also has a restaurant in downtown with the same name that serves pizza, pasta and gelato. We stopped and had Neapolitan pizza and it was very good. Better than the one we had in Rome. Overall a great place to stay at an affordable price. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location, staff extremely helpful, property clean, comfortable with enough storage for a 5 day stay. Small issue with plumbing that was sorted immediately. We were very happy to stay & would return. Although pool not attached to property it is no more than a 2 minute walk from property, we’re the amenities are excellent & staff friendly, very relaxing & well kept.

Brilliant Accomodation

We highly recommend Bougainvillea Relais! The room was spacious lovely and clean with a sweet balcony to enjoy our breakfast which was served promptly at a time that suited us. Fresh pastries, fruit juice & more. Maria Teresa was super helpful with any assistance we could need, be it transport, tour guides, restaurants. All in all very kind & generous with her time . Samal the room service gentleman also deserves a special mention as he delivered our breakfast & more always with a smile and politeness that made the start of our day super positive.

Maria was very welcoming and was so helpful in organising my transfers and booking my boat tours. They made us feel very welcome and looked after us. The room was amazing and it was easy to get around the town. I would definately stay there again when i visit sorrento next time.

I like the service of this property. Maria speaks fluent English. She provides detailed information regarding available excursions and where to have good foods. It was very windy during my stay. Maria volunteered to call the local ferry companies to check the availability of their service every day for me. With her help, I was able to finalize my travel plan.
