The location of the stay was perfect, literally steps from the beach--we were thankful for that. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff is A-1. The only problem I can say there is with the place, is the size of the beds. If you're on the smaller side, you have nothing to worry about. But if you're on the bigger side and plan on sharing a bed, you better choose a bigger bed

The hotel staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast every morning was very fresh. It's certainly walkable on the beach side, but on the busy street side watch out for motorcycles! The waters are gorgeous. The deluxe beach room's view was limited, but overall a good stay!

Nice checkin and on the beach as pictured. Our sliding glass door didnt work to our deck and she just said sorry....we were only staying one night so no biggee...but irritating. Breakfast was great!!

Hotel Zapata, friendly, safe, clean and affordable

The hotel was cozy. Very simple but it is very clean (they are consistently cleaning the place non stop). The employees are very friendly and welcoming. I felt very safe there. Right on the beach with ridiculously warm water. I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone. Only things I wish were different would be a small hotel sized refrigerator would be great in the rooms but that is the only small fault otherwise a great stay!

I really like the service and places like relax area, dining room and they have hoy water jaja! Thanks about all. At the first day I left at 7am and come back at 11am (the breakfast is between 8:30/10:00am) and they saved me breakfast because I told them I wasn't going to arrive on time. Thanks!

Very clean everything. Those girls work very hard. Everybody is friendly. Just ask them what you need, they'll help you. Stay away from people outside on the beach, if they tell you, they know a good fish restaurant. We paid $140 at Comideria Yahiyria (not even a restaurant) for 3 fish, chips and salad. Eat at the Hotel Restaurant. Lovely old lady is a good cook. I will visit and stay here again.

Horrible stay. Receptionist was not friendly. Went there with my elderly mother and we were placed on the third floor. Sink had a leak, shower curtain was too short, so the water from the shower got everywhere. Outdated windows, you can hear eveyone talking and laughing in the pool area and street. Music was blasting in the neighborhood until late. There’s a dog that barked the whole night. My mother brush her teeth and got sick. We stayed in other hotels in the area and this did not happen. The water smelled and tasted horrible, I’m lucky I did not get sick. Regret staying here.

I paid for ocean view but they said it was not available when I arrived . I paid a lot more for that larger room with ocean view. When I asked it I can get a reduction in price, she said no and walked away.
