A lovely quirky hotel with very friendly, welcoming staff and an excellent breakfast (check out the pancake making machine and freshly squeezed OJ!) Suggest booking ahead if you want to eat in either of the restaurants as they were fully booked when we arrived but the chap on reception gave us several recommended lical restaurants in walking distance and then booked a lively little fanily run Italian restaurant for us. Highly recommended and very good VfM

Great comfortable stay. Amazing room and bathroom with sauna and bath. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice old building features. Only down points, many stairways and stairs in maze-like old building making it more difficult to move bigger luggage around and noisy at night because of the restaurants’ clients who linger on the street talking below the room windows.

Disappointing Stay

We chose this hotel based upon it's rating of "fabulous". This was the worst of the 8 hotels we stayed in Belgium on this trip. We verified the hotel had air conditioning and chose a room that had 2 twin beds. The A/C turned out to be a portable fan. We got a double bed, not very comfortable for tall people. The room was hard to find, and I had to carry suitcases over 4 flights of 5 steps each to get there. The rainfall shower head was too low for a tall person. There is no rooftop terrace as advertised. I could go on, but you get the picture. Would not stay here again.

Déçus par notre séjour. Le personnel de ménage faisait beaucoup de bruit dès 7h30, rendant impossible toute grasse matinée pendant deux matins consécutifs. La chambre a été libérée à 11h et nous ne sommes revenus qu’à 22h, pourtant elle n’a pas été nettoyée : lit non refait et serviettes toujours au sol. Une grue derrière l’église démarre dès 8h (indépendant de l’hôtel), ce qui accentue le manque de tranquillité. Au vu du prix payé, la prestation ne correspond pas aux attentes d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.
