My room was cold and dark, radiators didn’t work so couldn’t make myself warmer, couldn’t switch the light off which was under the bed area and was annoying all night, not even a free bottle of water in the room.

Nice place to stay I liked the bed but my wife thought the mattress was too hard , a couple of observations the room was nice but we both kept bumping our legs on the bed frame , the wardrobe partially covered the only electric socket we could find ,the hair drier only blew cold air , in the bathroom the shower screen is too short for the tray and the floor gets wet , the washbasin is too high and the waterfall tap is hopeless if you try to wash your face in the basin all very nice finish , but not as comfortable and practical as it could be it wouldn’t stop me from coming back though

ive stayed here a few times and its always been really good, BUT on this occasion i was put in a ground floor room with a thin connecting door, and lets just say theres some things i didnt need to be hearing, and wasnt helped as they had their TV on until 4am so not the best of stays or nights sleep but staff and food as excellent as always

Room was compact, but to a high standard. Only thing annoying was that there was little space between the bad and wall, and regularly banged ankles on the frame of the bed. Will stay again though, as great location, and restaurant was good.

No heating and no hot water. Unable to get any sleep due to very cold temperature in the room, only 8 degrees after checking it. Cant wash myself either as no hot running water. Checked out after first night despite booking for longer. Unsafe and inhabitable conditions!! You have been warned.

One night stay in Glasgow before flight home

The Torrance Hotel was a nice find for a one night stay in Glasgow before returning home the next day via the Glasgow Airport. Approx. 30 mins from the airport if no traffic. There is a gas station and restaurants/stores within a short distance from the hotel. However, I would recommend eating at the hotel's restaurant. All of the dinner food that we ordered was great. (Coconut Chicken, Fajita's, and Prawn appetizer. Ask about gluten free items. Was able to get gluten free bread with my prawn appetizer in place of the ciabatta bread, Parking area is available if driving a car.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Torrance. A few technical issues we noticed on check in....television had a loose cable so poor reception! And the cupboard door over the mini bar was almost hanging off. Reception came up and tried to sort both things. Thefood in the restaurant was excellent....but the only problem was with the carafes of coffee....each morning we had to ask for hot coffee...staff made us fresh hot coffee. The staff were lovely and very helpful. My husband and I will definitely return.

The heating in the room was not working and was very cold. Asked 3 times about it and got told the heating will come on shortly after 6pm. 7.30pm and still no heating. I was finally given a heater but obviously this could not be kept on all night as very noisy but it did heat the room up. Cleaners start work at 6 from the sound of it and it sounded like the hoover in the reception was going just after 6, so don't expect a lay in. TV reception was hit and miss so don't expect to watch ITV1 or a few other channels. Room was tired and the bathroom had a smell as if the toilet was backing up, horrible drain smell. It is a shame as I have used this hotel a number of times before but I will not be back.
