Really lovely view from our room. We just had the basic room but it was perfect for us. Aircon! A basic but well prepared breakfast was included. Had a stingray cruising in front of our outside space for a few hours which was great.

Great place to stay in Portobelo! Lovely terrace to sit out in overlooking the sea. Room very comfortable..Above all, the staff are first class! Manager George was super helpful! All the staff wete great! Also ..the food was wonderful...best breakfast we had in Panama. Definitely would recommend this place to stay!

Pick the right room

I should have asked for a room facing the sea when I booked as myview of a wall was disappointing. Room was also too small for a chair or desk, but fine to sleep in, and stunning art on the walls and even in shower room.

A Day in Paradise

I travel to Panama often and every time a stay in Portobelo is a must on my trip! This beautiful historical village, located on the Caribbean seashore is just a couple of hours away from Panama City, is a perfect getaway to nature and peace! I stay in Casa Congo every time when I go there! Great comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated with the works of the local artists, and an amazing view of the bay when you wake up! A picture 1000 words cannot describe! Friendly and efficient team with great hospitality and a great seafood restaurant with the best Puplpo I ate. A beautiful gallery on the ground floor presents local artists work. This time we were 3 people to celebrate our birthday so we booked the apartment in the other building - Casa Rayo Verde! Fully equipped and simply great! Highly recommended!

My experience The receptionist needs training The room was small on 2 floors upper floor accessible by SMALL Spiral Staircase . Sleeping on the lower floor was impossible because of heat rising from the kitchen . Poor WiFi Tele and AC not working Needs checking Prior to Guest arrival. No Possibilty of me promoting this Smelly hotel Sewage smell from the Sea . Portobello should be raised to the ground

Nothing unique, the options in Portobelo are limited, so you have to pay a bit more for a standard accommodation. The power went out during the night, so we did not have AC until early morning. The breakfast service was good but when I asked if I could top off my small cooler with a bucket of ice, they said no it costs $2. Really? it's not the $ it's the principle. The power went off! Did I get a refund? No. The parking is tight here and it took 30 minutes from arrival to finish check-in process. Oh, we heard the closest beach costs $50 for a group, so we drove to another public location and parked for $5. The beach was crowded and dirty so we stayed for 2 hours and left before the traffic became a problem (Sunday). The Panama Canal museum in Colon was a side trip worth taking!

Beautiful spot in Portobelo!

Clean beautiful room overlooking the bay. Towels and sheets were clean and comfortable. A small kitchen provided everything we needed. We loved the hammock! Staff was excellent and answered all of my questions ahead of time and made sure we could find parking from the main road. Thank you!
