This is a fantastic spot off the beaten track about 30 mins from Wrexham The room was very clean and a decent sized bath with high pressure shower as well Tea and coffee facilities in the room which were regularly topped up when we needed Bed was extremely comfortable and room was spacious and warm. Plenty of car parking on site The pub itself was beautifully laid out and had a lovely atmosphere And a continental was offered each morning 2 things of special mention that really stood out 1 the home made pies were absolutely incredible and full of flavour seriously one if the best pies i have had in years 2 the staff The staff went above and beyond they really looked after us Special mention to Shannon who i would hire as my own front of house any day The stay was so good we booked an extra night last minute Thank you Shannon and the rest of the team for a amazing stay When we are back in the area we wpuld definitely stay again

The stay at the hotel was amazing, the room was very nice and smart along with a huge, modern bathroom. We visited in the middle of the week, so it was very quiet. The staff in the pub were super nice and friendly, the breakfast was also yummy. I would recommended this place to others and happily visit again.

This is a little gem of a place with the rooms opposite the pub, they could not do enough for us from making us welcome to excellent food and impeccable service. If you’re looking for a bit of quiet and out of town so noises to a minimum this is ideal and we couldn’t recommend anything better, there was nothing to fault. Thank you to the staff who were amazing, this break was awesome given my situation looking after my mother with dementia so felt so relaxed whilst here, the staff really get to know you so you feel very welcome.

The Burlton Inn was excellent for our needs, being halfway home from Southampton to our home for an overnight stop. The pub itself was very attractive, and the local beer was rally good. The accomodation was fine. The rooms were in an adjacent cottage style annexe, just across the large car park. The choice of evening meals was wide, and the food was good. Breakfast was continental only, but very healthy. Would we stay there again? YES!

Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Note - free toiletries are available at the bar, not in the room. The only things I didnt like were the stag head looming over our breakfast area and the picture of men 'enjoying' dog fighting in a stable.

Pleasant stay

Pleasant stay and convenient for the local event we were attending. The rooms are in the pub courtyard so we weren’t disturbed by noise. Dinner in the pub was good and reasonably priced. All the staff were extremely friendly and dogs are welcome. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was continental but adequate. Would definitely stay again if attending events in the area.

A good 2 night stay.

We had a meal on the first night which was very good. Guinness pie with mash and an Angus burger. Food was served hot and was very tasty 😋 The room was clean and tidy with a big bathroom. One small issue was a loose toilet seat but it was sorted as soon as I reported it to reception. Overall a good 2 night stay. A cooked breakfast would have made the stay even better but there was a continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt etc.

Lovely clean and well maintained room. Staff very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was just continental (toast and jam/nutella, cereal, fruit and flavoured yoghurts) but as I'm diabetic they went out shopping and got me plain yoghurts and marmite for low sugar options.
