Right outside room 201 was a diesel truck who started the truck and 5am and let it idle for at least 1/2 hour. Super loud and paper thin walls. Ok so I got an early start to my day. But other than that, nice place to stay for a night

The town had just 2 restaurants, no grocery store, just a Dollor General. The hotel Golden Eagle had no ice machine or continental breakfast, the owner/manager was hardly in the office. My room was very cold, especially the bathroom.

2nd night there people were yelling and carrying on next door. I left. 5 hours to home felt safer than staying. The lady who checked me in (owner?) was very nice.

There were repairs needed to the shower head. There was a hole in the drywall and pipe was hanging out of the wall. The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. Someone knocked on doors several doors down very loudly and carried on a loud conversation in the middle of the night. Very noisy place.

The Bad: The "float" of the toilet is so worn that it does't go up when the tank is filled, resulting in nonstop filling noise after every single flush. The tank stinks (in fact, the water itself smells like a concoction of chemicals). The bathroom is extremely cramped (there is only one tiny sink outside of the bathroom). The room has ZERO insulation. If you don't turn on the very noisy heater, the room soon becomes freezing. All you have on the bed is a flimsy blanket. The springs in the bed groan when you lie down or turn. I had to sleep fully dressed in two layers of fleece. I woke up twice at night shivering in the cold (I couldn't sleep with the noisy heater on). The "black out curtain" doesn't block the lights from the parking lot as there is a big gap on the top. The Good: Good wifi. Quiet. Electrical outlets by the bed. Very nice lady (owner?) at the reception. Only motel in town at a reasonable price. This is a true budget hotel in every sense. It's okay to stay one tight as you are passing through but it gets uncomfortable for a longer stay.

Go somewhere else! Rude front desk, English difficult, they advertised breakfast, but there was none. Oh, the train come by three times each night!
