The room was good size so very clean smelt really nice. Loved the bathroom amenities. To look out your window and see a drive-in movie screen it is really something different, which we went in the winter months so there was no movie but really liked the idea. There was great lighting outside to get to and from your car to the room. The only drawback was that the TV, needed to be clearer on the understanding of how to use it

My wife and I have stayed here twice while visiting Monte Vista for the annual Crane Festival. Both times, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well. Since this hotel has a drive-in movie screen south of the rooms, after sundown visitors can watch a movie from the luxury of their hotel room if they desire. Also, each room has both a room number and an actor's name associated with it. So, for example, we stayed in the "Yul Brynner" room. These touches give the hotel character that you won't find anywhere else. The dining room, where breakfast is served, has a gorgeous view that looks out onto the mountains west of Monte Vista. As the Spanish name of the town indicates, the hotel truly has a "mountain view." I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Came for my kid's spring break. There was NO obvious notice that the drive in theater attraction/amenity was not currently available. I payed $310 for 2 nights of NOTHING spectacular in a town with really not a lot for my kids when I literally just booked it because I wanted us to experience the drive in. Rooms were, "meh" the art is spectacular! The individual at the front desk was cold and unfriendly and unhelpful, our TV kept glitching and so not only no movie on the big screen, also no TV in the room! Breakfast tasted like dust with some salt both family friendly about it in March. Very disappointed and a waste of 2 days and $. If I came back it would be ONLY for the drive in.

Even though our room was clean. We did notice stains on the towels, shower curtain & linens. With the right UV light, you can tell they were clean. A stronger stain remover could've easily gotten rid of that. Rooms smelt clean & very spacious. Friendly gentlemen at the front desk. Hot fresh breakfast as advertised.
