Hôtel on the beach

The hotel is excellent as are the staff. The rooms are on the small side , but adequate and well appointed. The food in the restaurant was for me a 3 out of 5 and breakfast 4 out of 5.

Biscarosse Plage is a lovely place to visit and the Grand Hotel offers a panoramic view of the beach and esplanade. We stayed in a terrace room that was well furnished, clean and was more than functional. The only downside was that for a premium room apart from the space on the terrace there was no provision for comfortable seating without using the bed to sit on. Also for an extended stay there was sufficient but not ample storage/hanging space. The restaurant was of a high standard and the staff were very polite, happy and well trained. If you plan to take an evening meal in the restaurant be aware that it is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday. Overall this was a lovely hotel to stay in for a special treat.

Die Lage des Hotels quasi AUF dem Strand ist einfach unglaublich!!! Dazu ist es - bis auf das leerstehende alte Haus daneben - weit und breit das einzige Gebäude an diesem wunderschönen langen Sandstrand. Wir hatten das Glück, Zimmer 24 in der zweiten Etage ganz außen mit kleinem Balkon zu haben. Das ist definitiv die schönere Seite mit Blick auf den Pool und das Meer! Das Zimmer war nicht besonders groß, aber hochwertig und praktisch ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem mit angenehmer Bettwäsche, es gab für jeden einen Bademantel und das Bad mit der große Dusche war ein Traum! Alles war picobello sauber und bei zwei Übernachtungen gab es zwischendurch einen Zimmerservice. Das Frühstücksbuffet war überaus reichhaltig. Das beste war der Eierkocher, wo man sich sein Frühstücksei direkt selber in der gewünschten Zeit kochen konnte. Auch das Abendessen im Restaurant war sehr gut und preislich angemessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich - es fehlte uns an nichts!

Lage Lage Lage und die hat ihren Preis

WLAN ist eine Katastrophe. Leider wird nicht auf die Bewertung ehemaliger Gäste geachtet. Legen Sie sich ein gutes Roamingpaket zu oder verzichten Sie auf Internet. Die Betten sind leider kaum zur Erholung gearbeitet. Diese bestehen aus einem Holzkasten indem die viel zu weichen Matratzen hineingelegt werden. Will man aufstehen, versinkt man und muss auf das Holz aufsetzen. Kaffeeautomat beim Frühstück ist schlecht. Kommt der Anzahl der Gäste nicht nach, ist langsam und von schlechter Qualität. Kantinenkaffee im 4 Sterne Hotel. Pluspunkt ist die einmalige Lage, da das Hotel in die Düne gebaut ist. Parkplatz ist auch super, vor allem dass man ungeniert und ohne Verrechnung sein Auto laden kann. Man zahlt hier eindeutig die Lage und das wird vom Hotel ausgenutzt. Schade, eigentlich ein Juwel, der ein Generalüberholung dringend nötig hat.

Vue magnifique en premiere ligne

Vue magnifique calme propre. Seul souci nos chambre etait pour les pmr et le miroir etait beaucoup trop bas pour les personnes valides. Pourquoi ne pas mettre un grand miroir qui convienne à la fois au pmr et aux valides ? Comme partout ailleurs en fait. Là il fallait se pencher pour se voir. Pas pratique ni agreable.

Ubicación ideal, pero con dudas de si volveremos

Anteriormente me había alojado en este hotel. Estuvimos tan a gusto que decidimos volver.. Pero no fue igual. Reservamos dos noches, dos reservas por separado hace meses. Resulta que llegamos y no lo habían previsto, así que tenemos que abandonar la habitación desde las 12 hasta las 16 horas. Asumimos el error, el cual es en cierto modo compartido. Quisimos comer nuestra comida, pero desde el hotel, la Maitre, nos invito a marcharnos de la terraza. (la cual estaba sin usar, no había nadie, con mesas y sillas sucias de la tormenta de la noche anterior). Acudimos a recepción y tampoco nos dan alternativa. Se puede fumar y beber en la terraza, pero no comer. Tan sólo queríamos una sombra para comer mientras esperábamos la habitación. Estábamos con la piel delicada debido al sol y sin habitación por la falta de previsión. Coordinó varios hoteles, y no busco grandes pretensiones, solo que desde el alojamiento puedan brindarme una buena experiencia, que no sea solo un negocio carente de empatia. Por ejemplo, en la habitación 2, donde estuvimos la primera noche: No salía agua fría de la ducha, el grifo del lavabo se mueve, el rociador alto de la ducha salpica agua a todas partes, el canal español que dicen tener en el libro de la habitación no está sintonizado en ningún tv. No se indica que es cada alimento (hay personas con alergias). Cuando fuimos a pedir la bebida de cortesía creíamos que podríamos elegir, pero no. Tampoco nos preguntaron por alergias..

Mahtavalla paikalla oleva hotelli

Sijainti ei voisi olla parempi. Auton sai helposti pysäköityä ja kävellen pääsi ostoksille, ravintoloihin ja tietenkin mahtavalle rannalle. Saimme huoneen, jostain pystyi ihailemaan ja kuuntelemaan merta. Huone oli siisti. Yöpöytä oli hieman ajansaatossa kolhiintunut ja huonekalut olivat kuin Ikeasta, mutta varsin viihtyisä huone. Vessaan olisin kaivannut pientä käsienpesupaikkaa, sillä nyt piti vaihtaa kokonaan huonetta käsien pesuun. Ilmastoinnin kanssa oli hotellissa haasteita, sillä huoneen ilmastointi puhalti vain tosi kylmää, kylpyhuoneessa ilma ei oikein vaihtunut ja kosteus pysyi tilassa sekä ravintolassa aamiaisella rätit ja sankot olivat aseteltu ilmastointilaitteen alle, koska kone vuosi. Muutenkin rakennus näytti jo hieman nuhjaantuneelta. Hotellin toiminta oli muutenkin hieman puolitehoista. Hotellin ravintolan hinta-laatusuhde ei ollut ihan kunnossa. Tarjoilu oli epätasa-arvoista ja töykeääkin. Sijainnin ja huoneen vuoksi menisin uudelleen.
