My companion and I enjoyed the peaceful area and closeness to the castle. Hardly any cars, no noisy people. Just birds and us. The room in the annex was spacious, clean, nothing fancy but nice. Luckilly we had a room on the shade side as it was around 30 C outside and very warm in the room, no AC. We managed to borrow their last fan that was on all night with the windows open. We had wanted to eat in their restaurant but table needs to be booked ahead of time. It's rather popular and often fully booked as we noticed on our trip. We could have waited 20 minutes and then maybe get a table but we decided to leave and find a different place to eat. Breakfast buffet was tasteful. Not a huge variety of foods but more than sufficient. The greek youghurt was delicious, the bacon crispy - the only minus was the scrambled eggs which were lukewarm one minute after being put out. We loved having our breakfast outdoors with the queen's castle as a view. We recommend this hotel to couples who enjoy the calm of the area, free parking and wifi. There's a beautiful lake about 1 km away and a golf club. The town itself seemed tired, not much open, only a few places to dine and not many people out in the streets in mid July in the evening. However it's rather close to bigger cities where you find more night life, bars and restaurants but note: most places close around 21:00-22:00.

Nice but could be better.

The hotel had wonderful old-world charm, the staff was great! The room could have been better. I understand a lot of Europeans don't use AC but at least have a fan in the room, or at least screens on the windows so you can leave them open at night. All hotels should have blackout shades in the 21st century, this was a missed opportunity.

Værelset OK, men badeværelset kunne være rengjort bedre. Tykt støvlag på bruserhoved. Vi tjekkede ind ca. kl. 20.30 - der er intet personale at henvende sig til. Alt er selvbetjening og ekstremt upersonligt. Fra indtjekning til udtjekning var vi ikke i kontakt med nogen. Morgenmad var kaos. Alt for lille til de mange gæster. Meget lang kø og ventetid for at få morgenmad. Langsomt personale mht. til afrydning. Vi sad ved et bord med store kaffepletter og krummer fra tidligere gæster. Kommer ikke igen og vil ikke anbefale det. Var gæster for en del år siden. Det var et helt anderledes og bedre ophold.

- Godt med parkering pladser når man er tidlig på den, Det bliver lidt trængt sidst på aften, når man kommer i vare vogn :D - Super sød personale og dejligt sted. - Selv renligheden var ikke iorden, der lå hår og snavs på gulvet. - Toriletbræt sad løst. - Skrive bordet, havde man monteret i et skrå lofthjørne. Jeg er 1.65 og alligevel bakkede jeg hoved op, da jeg reste mig. - Bordpladen på skrivebordet var ikke en gang fastmonteret. Så der mangler lige de sidste afslutninger.!

Boede i hovedebygningen. Jeg er ikke til det nogen kalder charmerende knirkende gulve, som både får i rummet og på gangene. Bruse området i badeværelset var i dybden så småt at man heletiden var i kontakt med forhænget, ikke noget som er rart. Ekstra rum med skrivebord som er fint til arbejde. Morgenmaden er fin og god hvor der bliver kælet lidt ekstra om maden. Mangler dog en bedre kaffe med mulighed for skummet mælk.
