It was a lovely place to stay. It felt like our own little oasis. We loved the balcony and spacious room. The area was so peaceful and such an easy walk to town. THANK YOU for the water station too on the stairs!

Such a beautiful property in a convenient location, yet quiet because it is set a bit away from all the West End hussle and bussle.The staff was friendly and accomodating. The complimentary breakfast was incredible! The room was clean and in pristine condition. We will definitely stay there again!

Excellent , beautiful place

Excellent! The only thing I would suggest is adding a Honduran breakfast to the menu options , as eating eggs and bacon everyday gets boring at some point . Also always good to taste the local flavours

It quite quiet. It's off the beaten path, but not too far. A rooster crowed in the morning and a dog barked occasionally , but that was part of the charm. The dock and cabana were a nice place to relax. The breakfast was good and I especially liked the passion fruit juice. There was no TV in the room, which was nice. I'll be back.

Airport shuttle was not free. Waited 1 hour for the driver to collect all the passengers. 1 hour later we got into the shuttle. Was surprised to learn that shuttle driver expected payment. The room was okay. Simply put: a room with two small beds and a bathroom. Air conditioning worked great. The patio area was nice. Front counter folks were nice. Restaurant staff were nice. Free breakfast was good. Limited choices but good nevertheless.

The staff can be a bit tricky. Three times after they charged me for transportation they came back asking for more money. Mistake or scam? Also a pile of saw dust from a repair and a broom was left in my bathroom. Lights were left on and door was not locked by maintenance guy. They offered an apology but nothing else. Customer service is mediocre. Besides that it’s a lovely property but needs some upgrades. Good coffee and breakfast.

The property is nice, things like the air conditioner were filthy and had to be cleaned. The sink got plugging up had to be maintenanced twice. The free breakfast is not on Tuesdays, on that day you have to walk a mile for your free breakfast. You do have access to beach chairs and kayaks through their sister facility, but if you don't ask a lot of questions you would never know that... Most of the staff is not helpful. One office person named Sasha was outstanding and really made the experience better.

As soon as we needed a plumbing issue fixed it was done soon. Sasha gave us instructions on how to use WhatsApp, in order to make calls. A very helpful lady to senior citizens who get confused about cell phone usage in foreign country. Christy answered our questions with patience. Ashley, our breakfast server was efficient serving breakfast with style and grace. The teamwork we saw with this staff was excellent.

House keeping was excellent...ask for anything and it's there. Restaurant and back garden were excellent...very peaceful and nicely done. Give perfect island feel. Needs: rooms need luggage racks, breakfast needs more options otherwise eating same thing each day. It was good, but it was the same 2 things each day. One minor incident where staff named Ashley or Shasha, the female that works at the front desk and was helping with breakfast. She accused me of ordering the wrong item when I had ordered the same item for the last 3 days. The first time was ok...but she came back the second time with the same wrong order...indicating that I had to take it bc it was my fault...that was puzzling to me...I returned the order and skip breakfast that day. Again, this shouldn't sway you as the place is a good overall place...will stay there again the next time.

This hotel had large rooms and sweet individual porches with tables, chairs and a hammock. We loved staying here. There was a mini-fridge in the room but no coffee pot or microwave All rooms are near the restaurant and coffee was easy to get. The restaurant ambiance, food and service were great! Everyone was SOoo nice and plenty of staff are completely fluent in both English and Spanish. We loved the free breakfast and the long dock with a very relaxing sitting area- perfect for sunset. NO mosquitoes anywhere, but the no-see-ums are hungry as soon as it turns dark. You WILL want to buy the air conditioning due to the heat and humidity- even in December. A security guard was present all the time near the hotel entrance. Located just a few blocks from the West end, we walked downtown to great shopping every day. Don't miss the recycled metal store and the chocolate shop - great smoothies. Plenty of little tiendas for anything you need or forgot. Prices are cheap! A few blocks into town is the water taxi - $5 to head out to the West Bay beach. Walk to the end to the Grand Roatan hotel where the snorkeling is amazing and we had a great lunch. Bring a beach towel as chairs all along the West Bay are reserved for hotel guests. Also NOTE: US dollars are accepted everywhere but NOT if they are torn, or stained, or defaced in ANY way at all. I was out of cash when my "weary" Franklins were useless.

Unplanned Extra Night in West End

After having our flight to the US cancelled for a second day, we were pleased to find a room at Hotel Posada Las Orquideas on Hotels.com. We had seen Hotel Posada while staying in West End but hadn't stayed there before so we were excited to give it a try! The grounds are beautiful with spacious rooms and balconies. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time there after checking in late and heading back to the airport early the next morning. We would definitely stay here again!

Love this place!

We loved this place! The location is great. It is nice to be near West End (a very short walk), but far enough away that it was a very peaceful setting. The hotel felt like a tree house in the jungle with a beautiful ocean view. The studio room was perfect with great amenities if you want to cook or just make coffee and use the refrigerator. The air conditioning was great and we loved our private deck with a hammock. The cafe is so cute and food is also excellent. The WiFi in the cafe is good too! We highly recommend this hotel and plan to return.

A/C unit never went down to 24 celcius degrees , the room cleaning was really bad, they made our bed just one time day before checking out, the toilet was dirty, shower water pressure was poor, for the price that we pay I will consider to go back.

Very peaceful, quiet location within walking distance of “downtown” West End. The hotel has a nice breakfast included; other meals available in town. I stayed at the hotel for a dive trip, and it was conveniently located to numerous dive shops.
