Not far from Rialto Bridge, it's a place convenient to all locations and within walking distance to a multitude of restaurants, from the average to the superb. Of course it's Venice, so walking the calli at night will only add to the pleasure of already being there. The property is nice, albeit not overly spacious: our window faced the calle and you could hear the distinctive local language of Goldoni spoken, especially at night, somewhat loud at first, as families were out, then lighter and lighter to full silence at around 11pm, almost a theatrical piece where the characters move away from the stage one by one, slowly, to none. That actually made the place even more intimate. The life of the place, however, was our concierge: alas, i can't remember his name for the life of me, by his distinctive Florentine/Tuscan accent stood out, as he was explaining to us the ins and outs of the place and the neighborhood. He clearly loved the place and sounded truly vested into it, which translated into a great deal of positive energy about it. Any negatives? Well, the quality of the coffee served in the morning could be easily improved by changing the capsules used or its dilution. But fear not, within a few blocks, there are superb coffee bars with a never-ending variety of fresh pastries and croissants for your delight. Would I return? In a heartbeat.

The room was not cleaned any day. They told us that it is an Italian regulation, but is not true. One of the days there was no hot water, so we couldn't take a shower. They told us there was a problem in the boiler. They didn't change our garbage bag, unless we left it outside at the door

It said free WiFi, but it was non-existent and when I asked about it, they told me that I had not paid for it. Beware of extra taxes above and beyond what you are quoted as your final cost.

Ho soggiornato solo una notte presso questa struttura. La Locanda è molto carina e confortevole. La stanza matrimoniale, benchè piccola, ha tutto quello che serve (d'altronde a Venezia si sta poco in camera!): armadio, tavolino, sedia e un bagno praticamente nuovo con doccia, bidet e phon. In reception i ragazzi sono tutti gentili. Peccato il check-in solo fino alle 21. Comunque consiglio vivamente. Penso di ritornarci una prossima volta.

Friendly and clean. Recommended.

Check in was nice and easy, the guy that was there (we should have gotten his name) was friendly and had a lot of good information for us. He suggested places to eat, routes to the airport, etc. He is there from 2pm to 9pm. This is a pretty good window. The location is right near the basilica and there's a wonderful little cafe on the corner. It was a nice stay, we would stay again.
