Good overnight stay. Easy to get to hospital from BW. Pub dining was enjoyable. PLEASE NOTE: if you are staying for pending hospital procedures, BW will only discount your stay IF you book directly with them and not thru a booking agent.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was exactly as pictured in booking which seems to never happen. The food at the restaurant was well priced and delicious. The bed was my fav part - super comfy. Only thing is the shower doesnt have a partition that closes so you get water everywhere when showering, and the shower head is not good for hair washing, the water pressure wasnt good. Otherwise fab and we will definitely stay here again.

Great value, clean, and great staff

We recently stayed at the Wayside Inn to attend a family funeral. We were warmly greeted by Amanda at the front desk, and she gave us our keys and vouchers to the $5 breakfast (regular price is $16). The rooms, while not large, had everything we needed, including an iron/ironing board, hairdryer, a good-sized bar fridge, a built-in desk and chair, and a comfy chair and ottoman. My husband was pleased with the large good-quality TV and channel lineup, which included several sports stations, to his delight! The hotel has two restaurants: O'Briens for breakfast and early lunch, and Barney's Pub for lunch, dinner and beyond (loads of seating at the bar and in the large rooms, as well as a cute little patio - very pleasant staff, as well). I think the even-numbered rooms actually look out on the patio and fountain, while the others look out on the parking lot, which is quiet. The premises were very clean (saw the hall being vacuumed and walls wiped down every day during our 4-days stay), with extra ample elevators and a small but functional exercise room downstairs. The Wayside Inn is within easy walking distance of a Subways and a well-stocked Safeway for groceries (also houses a small Starbuck's for you coffee lovers - opens at 7 a.m.) and several other restaurants. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. This will definitely be our hotel of choice the next time we're in Wetaskiwin.
