Lovely hotel

Very cosy quaint hotel. Mind your head on the low beems and doors but all adds to the stay. Beds are very cosy breakfast is lovely

Unique experience

Well, if you are into „Tudor‘s charme and age“…

Hard to describe - it has it‘s own, but old Tudor‘s charme which you may love. It was a one time experience for me as this hotel is no match to the Samuel Rider next door. The street facing room gave me a lot of traffic impression even during the night.

Congratulations to The White Hart and the Staff.

The hotel has amazing resonance with the long history of the local area and the Cathedral. It is perfectly located for all the major features of St Albans. The internal design and style illustrates the long history, back to the late 15th Century. Understand that this does not compare with a 20th Century design; and so much the better for that. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and always too ready to help; the menus were very good. There is a good private car park immediately behind the hotel.

Great hotel, poor bar.

Pleasantly located in St Albans. An historic hotel/pub. Room was pleasant, large. The shower was excellent. Absolutely blasted the water out: no flimsy trickle. However, the room was at the end of a corridor which gave the impression it should have been haunted yet no hauntings or any paranormal phenomena occurred which was disappointing. The bar is below par. Drink elsewhere such as The Boot which is excellent.

Central St Albans

An atmospheric quirky hotel. Very few level spaces after the ground floor. Walking in room 16 is like a fairground attraction, try as hard as you might, it is so uneven you can never be sure where you will end up, but it will never be where you aimed for, a trip to the loo becomes an adventure. But it's good fun. A really good hotel, andvery central. And very historic.

This is an old quirky hotel, expect wodden beams and uneven floors, but this adds to the charms What I didn't expect was a shower and tiolet that didn't work, crapets that made me want to keep my shoes on and poor breakfast service

Hotel obviously had a lot of character - not your run of the mill hotel! However, our stay in the family room was interrupted by a leak in the ceiling that came about after about 2 hours of steady rain. While reception did deal with it after we raised it, the ceiling had a couple of water marks - which would make me nervous about staying here for more than one or two nights at the wrong time of year.

Our family enjoyed the stay at The White Hart, it's spot on for a traditional hotel. Great staff and the location is steps from the St Albans Abby and high street shopping.

Central Town Hotel with Parking

Room 14 seriously disoriented my wife because of the sloping floor. But reception were able to move us to Room 7 which was very spacious. Very old building so quirkyness to be expected.

A night away to watch the rugby!

Had a lovely stay at this beautiful old hotel. Only stayed one night. Staff were very nice. We managed to get a parking spot, although spots are very tight.

The hotel oozed character with its Tudor styling and timeless interior. The bar and restaurant area with its wooden panelling was charming and authentic. The bedrooms were stylish and clean with comfortable bed and seating, and the lovely warm bathroom was finished in a modern but not out of place styling. Not value for money, small en suite bathroom, barely swing a cat. Terrible bed, noisy windows - the building has lots of character on the outside and in the bar / restaurant but in my opinion that character was not in any of the hotel rooms. I will not be staying there again
