Great value and location

I received a text on my way to Ohakune that my room was ready. Just had to park and head to my room, keys were on the bed and dropped keys in the drop box when i checked out the following morning. Bed was comfortable and shower had good water pressure and stayed hot. Walking distance to nearby food and market. I was hiking in the area so definitely a recommended place to stay and will be back next winter.

Good location. Well appointed for the price. A bit tired and could do with a deep clean. Good value for the price. No one really running the place. Any time I needed something I would have to speak with one of the cleaners who spoke limited English. Very pleasant and helpful but no one at the front desk at any time and no way to get help without going to look for the cleaning staff.

Our stay with Snowhaven was for one night. While it was cost-effective, we were placed in a unit on the main road. Unfortunately, we heard every truck that passed by our room throughout the night. Not a great sleep. The upside it was convenient to the local shops and restaurants and cosy.

The extract fan in the bathroom screeched like a Banshee, the hand basin plug wouldn't stay down, the handsoap pump didn't work, most of the surfaces in the unit were sticky, a thick layer of dust on the headboard, there were dirty stains on walls and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, i won't be staying there again

Great central area, room was tidy and looked nice. Bathroom was in dire need of some upkeep most things were usable but broken like the taps and shower head, soaps were leaking in the shower which led to the drain overflowing with bubbles when taking a shower in the morning! Sink also leaked water all over the floor somehow? The noise from the neighbours using the water next door right next to our heads sounded like a tv playing white noise at 150dcbls! But lucky they didn’t use it long or during the night. Check in and out was super easy and didn’t even see anyone

Good kitchen with stove and microwave but no microwaveable cooking dishes. Good internet and lighting. Hotel is on main road so some truck noise early in the evening. Close to the National park and shops. Compact room but adequate for a couple.
