The room was bigger than expected, very very close to all the shops, we could walk to everything, so very convenient. Check in was simple. The only one downfall was the fireplace in the room just looked a bit grubby, which didn’t particularly bother me personally but I can imagine it may bother others. So my suggestion would be either just get rid of it completely or put in an enclosed fireplace instead. Otherwise our stay was great.

People feeding Wood Ducks outside our door , barley fed on the concrete and had to dodge duck poop every time we walked outside . There are Signs saying don’t feed the wildlife Need a sign pointing to the restaurants nearby .

No pool operating

The rooms are very spacious but dated. The grounds are large with bbq's and picnic tables. It's very quiet and in the centre of town. The pool is not in use and hasn't been for some time. This should be shown on the website

Rather dated property and age really shows in the facilities like the kitchenette, shower and television etc. Room is decently clean with some odd stains here and there (carpet /walls) However location is excellent, very close to amenities, walkable and near to the starting point for trails, easy to drive to and from hiking trails. Staff also very helpful and friendly. Discount offered at diner too if you show your lodge key.

Upon arrival at standard time the reception was unattended and locked. A hand written note suggested contact by phone. That incurred a roaming cost as we are foreign visitors. We had to wait for half-hour until someone arrived.

Great location The rooms are dated and was missing basic items like microwave, fry pan, salt/pepper and mirror in the bathroom But we enjoyed the large comfortable seats, spa and the deluxe room we booked was huge. Definitely would rebook
