I stayed at this hotel alone with my dog. Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel. I was able to take him with me to dinner and breakfast, he was allowed in the bar, and there was a special area for guests with dogs next to the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The view of the sea from the window was wonderful. The area is peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.

The Morar Hotel looks recently refurbished. Comfortable, clean bedrooms, large and well-appointed bathroom, cozy bar, terrific dinner options in restaurant overlooking Loch Morar. A great place to stay! Excellent hot buffet breakfast. Thanks to the wonderfully friendly staff.

This was a beautiful hotel! Our room was small, but very clean and comfortable with a renovated bathroom. We had a view of the water, and this was one of the best views we’ve ever seen. The hotel is up on a hill overlooking the river and bay and you can’t find a more idyllic setting. We ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and the food was incredible. It was the best meal we had out of 10 days in Scotland, by far!

Lovely convenient location near ferry.

The Morar Hotel offers easy parking and amazing views. It’s located only a few minutes from Mallaig and the ferry/train. Staff is friendly. The property itself is older and walls between rooms are thin; however the value was good for the price of room. They do offer single rooms that face the water—a bonus for a solo traveler. There is a restaurant onsite that was very good.

We spent our first night in Scotland here. It was dinnertime when we arrived and we were hungry and tired and didn't have the energy to find somewhere else for dinner, which ended up being fortunate! We had the best steak pie we have ever experienced here!!! Overall we were happy with our one night stay, the hotel is close to the ferry to Skye, and for the food alone I would consider this a must stay!
