My first time at a hostel. The experience was better than anticipated. The property looks new, clean. Staff speaks English n helpful. Was in a room with 10 cabins (2 levels). Was allocated the upper cabin. A safe with the same cabin number was allocated. To enter the room, the card key has to be used. Good security. Cabin mattress was clean and cosy. With hooks for hangers, slippers provided and a ledge awards the end side of the cabin convenient to put stuff. Shower was really clean and all necessary shampoo, shower gel, etc r provided. Was a good experience. I can lock my luggage (no charge) after check out and collect it later.

The beds are clean and comfortable, the common area is a great place to relax and meet people, and the facilities (both east and west) are aesthetic with lots of accommodation. We stayed 2 weeks in Japan and this was the nicest place we stayed in. The common areas where very comfortable and spacious, so if you're planning to hangout at the hotel a bit, it's a good choice. You can bring your own food and drinks too. The hotel also had showers in the common area, very clean, with a good area to dry your hair or put your make up on before leaving. We used it when the other person in our group was napping, so we didn't have to bother them with noise and such.

Overall would recommend. The beds allowed us to slide our luggage under which was nice to get a little more space. There are too lounges and they were both very spacious and clean. Great location. There is a sushi and omakase restaurant right next to it that I highly recommend. The drier for laundry was the most expensive of all the hotels we went to in Japan (100 yen for 10 min as opposed to 100 yen for 30 min).

Great location in Kyoto in walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, temples, etc. Stayed in a private room which was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The kitchen and lobby area are really nice. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Got a weird vibe from the staff, but they were nice enough. Would stay here again.

Our stay at Piece hostel was wonderful! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the staff was great and the location was right next to the market making for lots of dining options and things to do. The only thing I’d advise is to bring ear plugs- the walls are quite thin and with it being a hostel people are up all hours of the night being quite loud. Otherwise a perfect experience!
