Older motel style property right on the main drag through Parksville. Room was extremely basic but clean. No pool or breakfast. Price a bit steep for such simple accommodation, but I guess we came during high season. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice.

Booked this property due to price knowing it was an older property; however, it is in need of paint, a good cleaning of walls and cupboards. Fridges need defrosting- freezes things. Did have a small kitchenette. Leary to use stove as burn marks on wall. You could see light around the door. No restaurant at Motel, had to go out which we expected. The bed was comfortable and clean, washroom had been upgraded (walls were dirty), good water pressure. Air conditioning worked well. Towels were changed daily and garbage emptied.

I’ve been travelling to Parksville for years to visit my parents. This was my first time staying at Skylite Motel and it will likely be my goto from now on. Great location, walking distance to my parents apartment, close to lots of amenities. The only thing I would recommend the motel consider is the addition of a coat rack or some hooks because there was nowhere to hang jackets and clothes.
