For the price this is a good value. Nice location away from the main street of town. Plenty of parking, grounds are kept up. Excellent staff service, easy check in. The room is very clean, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, all working well. The reason why I didn't give a 5 star is, the furnishing (table, chairs, bed, and shower), are dated. Others have reviewed the same, so I was expecting that 50's smell. But that was not the case. Bottom line, I am planning on coming back again. If your one of those who want room service and fanned with palm leaves, this may not be your kind of place. But if you like the outdoors and want to enjoy a beer out by the pool to plan your next adventure this is the place.

The hotel is older, but the management keeps it very clean and orderly. The fellow residents all seemed to be very decent people. I love that the hotel and community turn lights out early every day in celebration of the nighttime sky. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful.

Love this motel. Straight up Americana desert motel. Suggest the upgraded single units with porch. Small pool but cute. Family that runs it is very nice. Great weekend desert getaway spot. Plenty of parking. Anza Borrego is beautiful

Surprised by the readiness of the kitchen. We thought of a small kitchen zone for easy meals and didn't expect to have all the kitchenware ready in the room. The room was old with a bit too dim lighting, but we liked how each section was separated and well upkept. Air conditioning was a bit loud, even with the lowest fan speed. The last con I could think of is that it is far away from downtown but shouldn't be a problem with a car. It is about a mile away from the downtown circle!

The motel was clean enough. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The motel is very old. Because I have two very small dogs I felt I got the “doggy room” The carpet was suspect - I sensed ithe carpet was not very clean. It did have a kitchenette, which I needed. It was not great for$178.00. But everything is very expensive these days. It was okay.

But if you own a motel and can't be bothered to have the toilet seat installed properly, maybe it's time to sell it and find a new line of work. Too many issues overall at this place. Will not stay here again.
I've traveled on 3 continents & this is one of the dumbest toilets I've yet seen. The lid was installed askew & can't be adjust so it's like you're riding side saddle.
