The man at the front desk was very kind and helpful. He was also about the only redeeming part of the experience. The pictures weren't totally inaccurate, but they definitely made the room seem much nicer than it ended up being. Though the furniture and appliances were all cleanly, the room itself was in pretty poor condition. There was mold and rust in many places, and we found several various bugs throughout the room. The bed wasn't very comfortable, which wasn't THAT big of a deal for me, but it was incredibly noisy and creaked loudly at even the slightest movement. The door to the room didn't lock, as there was an immovable piece of plastic jammed behind the plate where the lock would go into. The fact that the door wouldn't lock prompted us to relocate to a different hotel. I'm sure this motel would have gladly moved us to a different room, but given the condition of the first room and how late it was; we didn't want to risk wasting time and potentially running into similar issues.
