The front desk staff both at check in and check out were SO lovely. They were both nice, cheerful and funny. The rooms were clean — but that was part of the problem. The smell of cleaning products was OVERPOWERING upon check in. We had to open up the doors and windows to let the cross breeze fumigate the room. The pillowcases smelled a bit mildewy and the room was very allergen inducing. I’m sure it’s due to the age of the motel. I hate “complaining” because it’s a very cute hotel with a lovely little stream behind it and seems to be the nicest in town. But if someone has serious allergies or asthma, this place would wreck havoc on your lungs and sinuses.

After a long day's drive, I was glad to finally arrive in Bridgeport. The woman at the front desk of the Walker River Lodge was so kind and welcoming. She even gave me a wonderful room right by the river! I got some good rest in a clean and quiet room that night. It was great. If and when my travels take me through Bridgeport again, I will definitely be back.

This is Bridgeport, so do NOT expect the Hilton! Simply a nice, clean & quite, friendly place to stay overnight at for a (relatively) reasonable price. (And the Mexican restaurant across the road is excellent!)
