Would have love to know the pools weren’t all open

The resort was under construction and we weren’t aware. Only limited dining and half the pools were closed. Plus no beach access. Construction went on most of the day and until 11:00 each night.

They were open during construction, lots of noise due to them hosting activities in the lobby , pools were full due to them being under construction, they didn’t really have many options of food. Didn’t have many options in beer.

Nice resort but parts under construction and loud

The all inclusive treatment with waiting for bills and signing is pretty confusing. I felt many times it was inconvenient. The main breakfast venue was nice but wait times varied significantly whether 8/9/10 am. Surprisingly the best food was at the sport bar and the fine dining at the Italian option was lackluster with quality of food. I would never justify paying full price for the dining options or alcohol there except the view was nice. Flies landing on your food also not helpful. What was frustrating is that the resort had parts under construction / repair in the jacuzzi area where there is a little bridge and there are hard wires sticking out because the bridge is in bad shape. For children swimming under, they would get close to the metal rods sticking out and is clearly a hazard no one cares about. The staff is very nice and service was good otherwise. The concierge will also surprise you with extra taxes and fees when checking out. Apparently taxes for wifi are a thing.

The staff here is absolutely amazing from start to finish! The facility is very clean, and the sports bar quickly became our favorite spot. We rented a day bed for the duration of our trip, and it was totally worth it at $125 a day. The rooms are a bit dated, but nothing that took away from our experience. A few tips for travelers: check your currency before you come — if your U.S. bills are taped, ripped, excessively worn, or have any markings, they won’t accept them. Taxis were super convenient to get, costing about $11 USD each way to town (plus tip). We’re already looking forward to coming back after the grounds have been remodeled!

Resort was bright, on a beach, room was a good size, and the refresh/replacement of towels, toilet paper and bedding were consistent and good. Eli, the Concierge, was outstanding, helpful, friendly and one of the few best representations of this Resort. Edwin, a server in the Sports Bar, offered the best service, friendly, and never dropped the ball. The layout of the resort and the Taco Bar (the name of one of the restaurants) were other positives….. that is it. There was no consistent service at the other restaurants or at the pool side even when tipping well. The food was SLOW to arrive at the table (that is with not expecting fast service due to being on “vacation time”), solidly mediocre. And when you went to a restaurants near the pool to get your own food or drinks, it was unclear where to go and often not welcomed. The mixed drinks had very little alcohol, to the point ordering a shot with a side drink, like lemonade or soda, was the best course of action, or a beer. This was not the worst experience by far, but for a first time resort visitor, this does not encourage me to try it again.

I will make this long to make it helpful for everyone!! when you check in they put a bracelet, which is your room key, on you. They didn’t tell us that we actually need to RETURN to the desk to get them activated to get in the room.,wasted time walking around. Overall the resort is very nice and clean. The housekeeping staff are very attentive, there’s a kitchenette, full size frig, microwave, blender, toaster, stove, sink, dishes, silverware. The hotel stocked the frig daily with pop, beer, water, juice and also a basket in the room with microwave popcorn, little chip snacks, snickers bar and nuts.. everyday, no extra cost with the all inclusive package. The weird thing to me is, with 5 places to eat, all places are outside except for one. So it’s hot. And there’s often a wait for the restaurants, especially if you are a late night eater, if you go early, like 7-8 for breakfast and 5 for dinner then you’re fine. The Italian restaurant is overrated, not good. Overall, I do feel they put great attention to the food, so much variety and it is top quality. Not the same boring menu. The shows at night are awesome and last an hour. But get there by 5:45 to get in line for that place, even tho show starts at 7:30 because otherwise you won’t get in. The marina area is not fun to visit, scary. The shopping bad, restaurants so expensive in town. Take an uber to Walmart for the best souvenir shopping, so cheap. If you go here, that’s it, no other places you can walk to.

Beware when u head to the beach! Vendors attack u!

Our recent stay at your the Lila Del Palmar property. While I appreciated the convenient location and the enjoyable dinner-and-show experience, I unfortunately encountered some significant issues that impacted the overall quality of my stay. Firstly, the presence of numerous flies during meal times was extremely unpleasant and detracted from the dining experience. This was a considerable hygiene concern. More importantly, on my first day, I became ill, necessitating a premature departure on the second day. I commend the staff at the front desk for their prompt and helpful service. They were accommodating in providing a room upgrade to an oceanfront location and provided an earlier check-in time, and they also assisted me in securing a reservation at another Villa resort. I am grateful for their assistance in this difficult situation. The refund for the unused nights of my stay was greatly appreciated and a fair resolution to the inconvenience caused. However, I do hope you will investigate the fly issue in the dining area to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Addressing the underlying hygiene concerns would significantly improve the guest experience. I also hope that you may consider reviewing your procedures to determine if there were any contributing factors to my illness.

The pool area is crowded - no shade on the pools and limited lounging/sitting areas under shade. Pools and spas close at 8pm and there isn't much else to do at the resort, but eat - luckily the food is very good. After a serious incidents this location has had at the pool, it would be great if they had a lifeguard on duty all hours the pools are open. If you go, watch your loved ones very closely in the pools and ocean
