Just perfect, nice, and relaxing

I think I've seen different people at the reception every time I went to this hotel, but each and every one is just as nice and helpful. The included breakfast and dinner are also great. So many different things to choose from and all delicious. I love going here.

Basic hotel, smallest shower in the world, lift was broken for 2 days but staff were good

Served an evening meal as part of room rate. No complaints as the food was good. Best to get down early as the heat lamps don't keep the food as warm as I like. However it was still good. Only thing missing was hot chocolate. :-)

We stayed one night and had opted for a Premium room. The hotel has a nice lobby with a Mid Century vibe (nice set of vintage Fritz Hansen chairs). Staff was welcoming and check in was easy as we had prepaid. Our corner room was the largest we had during our trip to Norway. We also were excited that it had a bathtub! The hotel has an interesting history. There was a great breakfast buffet and surprisingly, a buffet dinner was also included. It seemed the hotel was housing some workers with a local factory and breakfast and dinner was part of the “deal”. So all the guests benefited. We were first worried about noise, but there was no issues as they were up early. Porsgrunn is a nice town on a river, with an interesting history as the center of Norwegian porcelain production. It is also the base for people interested in renting boats to explore the river and canals. We found it a surprise and glad we spent some time there.

Varmmaten var ofte lunken eller nesten kald på kvelden og om morgenen. Blomkålsuppe uten blomkål er ikke like godt som med blomkål. Noe bacon var veldig godt steikt. Eggerøren var ikke så innbydende når deler av eggerøren var gråbrun?? Ellers var vi fornøyd med utvalget av pålegg, frukt, drikke og annet tilbehør til frokost. Var veldig fornøyd med hvor reint og fint rommet var da vi kom første kvelden.
