Spectacular location!

Room 9 was wonderful! Clean and quiet and beautifully decorated. Spectacular views of the water. Excellent restaurant on site. Helpful, friendly staff people. Very close to Fortress Louisbourg.

An absolute gem of a hotel

The North Star Beach Suites is an absolutely fantastic place to stay! The rooms are perfect, very nicely furnished and with amazing views of the beach. Dinner in their on-site restaurant, The Bothy, was delicious, a truly memorable experience with Colin, one of the hosts, even joining the band for a beautiful song. Our only regret was we only stayed for one night!

What a wonderful stay we had at this beautiful place! Our room was beautifully decorated and lovely and clean with everything we needed for a comfortable nights rest. We had booked a table at The Bothy prior to our stay and we were so pleased we did as it was very busy! A singer and guitarist played all evening and the food was exceptional, what a great place! Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day! Thank you to our Scottish now Nova Scotian hosts....if we are ever in this beautiful part of the world we will definitely be back!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with a quiet and serene beach. The restaurant was outstanding. We had the the best halibut dinner ever! The staff and owners were friendly, polite and truly welcoming. A fantastic experience!

Louisbourg doesn’t have a lot of options, but this was a nicely appointed and very clean property that was very close to downtown and also to the historic French fort/settlement inch was well worth visiting.

Lovely view from the bed and balcony. Bathroom definitely needs a renovation. Quiet area and we very much enjoyed the sounds of the ocean waves as we slept/woke-up.

I had an ocean view unit with abalcony on the second floor. I was able to sit out and watch the harbour down to the Fortress while sipping on my drink. All the amenities and the layout of the room were excellent. I didn't mind paying a total of $410.00 for the stay including a bowl of chowder but I was alittle put off but being prompted to leave a tip up to twenty percent. I have neverencountered this at a hotel before and seemed a little much.
