Retro Motel with UP North decor. Owners very nice. Room was clean with a nice view of lake. Quick sleep with early departure. Easy access to Hwy 2. Modern food/grocery store very close. Gas station in town opens @4am so coffee & donuts are available.

Our stay was ok. The room was clean and the staff at check-in was lovely but the hotel itself is a bit tired. The carpet on the stairs outside of the building was worn and dirty looking. My daughter ended up tripping and falling coming off of the stairs as the transition from stairs to concrete pad was unmarked. All in all, the stay was fine but nothing to write home about.

Pfft!

The room was a good size, however, there was no way to regulate the heat to a comfortable level. It was extremely hot in the room, we had to open the windows in an attempt to cool it down a bit. The knob on the air conditioner was broken. The mattress was very uncomfortable and saggy. Overall for the price it was "okay" but I probably would not stay there again if I was in the area.
