I recently stayed at the Hilton resort in Puerto Vallarta, but it didn’t quite feel like a traditional resort. The hotel is built on a hill, and due to limited space, it lacks the expansive resort gardens that many other hotels in the area offer. This was something I noticed right away and felt was missing from the overall experience.
Room & Cleanliness:
The room service was good, and I appreciated that the floors were not carpeted. The bathroom, covered in marble, was an elegant touch, but I noticed stains in some areas of the shower, sink, and toilet. This is something housekeeping should pay closer attention to, as regular deep cleaning would help maintain the luxury feel.
Hotel & Atmosphere:
The hotel itself is beautiful, located in a good neighborhood, and attracts a high-end clientele. However, we were there for a family reunion, and dining together was a constant struggle. Despite our requests, the restaurant hostess repeatedly insisted on seating us at separate tables, even though we wanted to sit together for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This was frustrating and made our gathering more difficult than it should have been.
Overall Recommendation:
If you’re planning a family reunion, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the dining arrangements. However, for couples looking to relax by the pool with good service, it’s a nice choice.
